Billyspleen75:

Has anyone had any confirmation that these deals are for a 12 month term? I know it's been mentioned on here, but wasn't mentioned to me by the sales person or in the contract.

I'll be looking to give my 1 months notice in a few weeks (a month before the last All Blacks game..)

Has anyone cancelled theirs lately?

12 month term on the above

You normally have to leave for 2-3 months and then sign up as a new customer

Thats exactly right, they ask numerous times if you currently have sky installed at home.

I was able to get Starter, Sport, SoHo & My Sky for $40.66.

Once that is up and running, I can sign up to Max Fibre with them for $79 with 12 months free Disney+.

$119.66 for a 12 month contract.

Good deal in my eyes.

FWIW I had my Sky Fibre changeover yesterday and after the largish job of swapping the network wifi devices over its now all done.

Simple and fast, did a ookla speed test yesterday on hardwire 921Mb down and 523Mb up.

$119.65 per month for 12 months

Has anyone here managed to renew the deal at a similar price? My 12 month term expires early December so I spoke with Sky yesterday and they wouldn't offer anything close to the current price.  At their current offering I'll most likely be disconnecting, unless someone here has a way of negotiating the price down again. Cheers.

Nothing as far as I'm aware, I'm going to disconnect and go on SSN for a month then try and resign. But thats 12 months away

Here’s the guy that gave me the deal,

call 0800 890 400. Ask for Ashwin.

Any idea if this is still a goer?

I signed up a couple of weeks ago so I would say yes. I signed up three others since then

Plus one for Ashwin. He sorted me out today with a deal that I’m happy with.

Returning to the dark side since I can’t put up with the poor quality sports streaming on SSN anymore. 🙃

Called the 0800 number and was told they aren't doing any more half-price specials, which ended last year. The best they could do was $72 a month for Basic, My Sky and Sport with 2 Months free.

Is Krish still doing the deals? Or did he get replaced by Ashwin? Bit of bummer of these Sky deals have finally come to an end.

I called the number for Ashwin, a woman called back and said if I wanted the 50% off deals I was SOL and offered me the deal above. For me it's a bit annoying paying more than I want, but during Rugby season it's still OK value so I won't cancel sky right now.

When there is a streaming alternative at least as good as Sky Satellite then Sky probably won't see more of my money. I don't have the chip on my shoulder that some do about Sky, but they have removed all the value from Sky for me with removal of channels and changes other places, so it's sport and nothing else.

Try texting Krish, his contact details are back on page 70. He set me up back in May last year. I can't see any posts that indicate he's no longer doing deals.

I've just renewed, but no where near as good a deal as previously.  Not a big user of the mysky features, so went with Sky Starter and Sky Sport at $52/month for 12 months.
