All of a sudden tonight my new box tells me I can’t record anything and I must upgrade.

 

My account says that I’m paying the $15 for it, so something is stuffed up.

 

 

 

 

I've got that message right as 7sharp came on.

 

I'm guessing that's due to the cold weather in wellington right now, will see what sky chat has to say.

Seeing as the forecast was for a cold snap overnight down to 7º , I think it'll be the cold.

 

For now, TVNZ+ app works, and the Sky Go app should work on the other channels for recordings.
I'm not terribly bothered as my wife is napping and doesn't realise the reception is out.
However, I hope there's a fix before she awakes.

45 mins waiting - explain the problem and now I'm on hold ... but someone is away checking ... Does the call centre operate from NZ?

It’s not the satellite feed. It seems to be the check with authentication. Also given their phones seems to be screwed - could be a wider outage at Sky HQ.

Sky’s Facebook page > community has blown up with people affected by this outage! No acknowledgment from Sky yet.

Still cannot get through and they call centre closes at 8!

Ok, well I'm glad to know that it isn't just us.. hopefully someone on hold can talk to someone and get some form of answer. Appreciate the work of those waiting on hold, thank you 😊

I am fuming - I have been onhold for over 90 minutes - but come 8pm - message go we can't answer your call and contact us via the online form!

 

SkyNZ you sux is customer service and response!

VodafoneTV was such a better service by miles years ahead of this rubbish

(trying to use new Sky box)

I have had more issues with SkyTV in under one month than with 4 years of VodafoneTV

BTW - This outage looks to only be affecting those with the new Sky box. Previous one is working fine.
