JPNZ:
Anyways Vodafone are not offering the starter and entertainment split as far as Ive been told today :(
This is like inviting everyone for a party when there's no food or drink ready and you're still in your pajamas with hair in curlers.
rugrat: Has any one managed to get through to cancel entertainment?
Guessing they'll probably have most of their customers all trying to ring them at once?
Last night it had account log ins not available until 8am today, now it's gone to 12pm today so looks like software changes taking longer then expected.
Discovery etc is about to find out how many people prepared to pay, when don't have to have it for Sports etc.
In my opinion you should be able to take packages off in an automated way, same as you can with adding, but Sky forces talking to someone or sending email.
Re calls, MANY I expect. They should have emailed every subscriber yesterday
Its common to make churn or downgrade harder, that's pretty normal. The other side of the coin is automating will reduce staff costs
No chance VF won't follow suit. Maybe not immediately as they will need to change their billing platform, marketing material etc.
invisibleman18: Regarding Vodafone, I have it billed through them but with the MySky box a sky satellite and a Sky account number rather than the Vodafone TV cable service. Anyone know if it's both or just the Vodafone TV version that won't get the new packages? I won't try contacting then that as I guess there's no chance of getting through.
I have Sky Sport free until June anyway which was the deal when I switched to fibre so if I can't get the new price I guess I'll just stick with what I've got until that runs out then switch it back to Sky.
I'm the same as you (I dont have vodafone tv but Sky billed through vodafone with my Fibre) so you currently won't get it, until vodafone say so
Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+
Hiamie:
And for goodness sake, stop with all the unnecessary adverts!
Lack of HD and all those adverts was the reason I left Sky two years ago.... and that was absolutely the right move for me.
Still is!
Frustration at Sky adverts is a well-aired common theme in GZ Sky threads. And much more painful now that Netflix et al have given us a taste of what an ad-free experience looks like. Who wants a single program interrupted multiple times to endure Sky advertising itself?
Yet, for some reason, Sky remains blinkered to changing or improving how they present content. Sky’s cluttered viewing experience is unchanged from what it was 10 years ago. Is this laziness, ignorance or a mix of both?
Or maybe this is a company that can’t be bothered investing in change because they know their time is up; it’s only the length remaining that is the unknown – so they’re going to ride this horse for as long as they can, until it inevitably collapses from exhaustion and dies.
invisibleman18: So what's their justification for not offering the new price? I expect they would have added a price increase immediately.

I get the impression Vodafone didn't have a heads up about the changes so we're caught off guard.
They probably have to make changes in their billing system, before able to offer it.
Since it is breaking a package into two smaller ones, with one not being compulsory it's probably more work then a button press.
They knew, just slow.

Ads, yes a pain, but I FF, pretty easy.
Blinkered. Incorrect, the reasons why have been stated many times
Cannot be bothered. Incorrect, the reasons why have been stated many times
If you want to copy and paste the bagging that's fine, but its better to get the facts accurate
Voda say they will be doing the split plans, but not yet.
I guess they were told about them at the same time we were.

Makes perfect sense. Problem for Voda but Sky avoids the requisite leak
Notice time frames to partners/re-sellers would have been followed like in any other industry. It is up to the each company to keep up with the changes within the agreed time as per agreements between the 2 or more companies. If they can't then they need things in place to be able to manage their billing and customers.
