No trial either.  I thought Spark Sports were miserly with 7 days and charging us to beta test their product.

This is a bit disappointing to be honest.

I was hoping it was going to be as good as Kayo (even at $39.99/ month vs $AUD25 / month) but it is pretty basic. No on demand going back more than 24 hours, no ability to start a game a bit late and watch 15 minutes behind (put the kids to bed and then turn on the rugby).

In my mind, Kayo sports is the gold standard in Streaming Sports at the moment.

If they improve this over time I'll swap, but for now this is to basic for too much money for my taste.

Does Kayo give you Kiwi commentary for the Kiwi based sports?

Its just Fanpass with all the channels, with limited replay options, but we can replay within 24 hours at a time of our choosing

For me it depends on the video quality. I had FP for a short while, it was 720p, ok thats ok, but the smoothness was not there, it was like it dropped every 4th frame

Yes, Kayo gives you kiwi commentary when the games are in NZ, but Au/SA commentary when the games away (Super Rugby)

To date, every game of cricket and rugby I have wanted to watch has been available to watch.

Streams in HD (1080p).

I'd happily pay more for Sky Sports Now if they had more of the features from Kayo.....

Yeah, I think I'll be holding off on SSN for now. Their FAQ gives me zero confidence, as it does just look like a Find and Replace Fanpass with Sky Sport Now, and appears to be full of incorrect information. Not really the outcome I was hoping for this morning.

Can anyone confirm that has Sky Sport Now that all the Sky Sports channels can stream 1080p/50fps and ESPN 720p.

Sky Sport Now website says that maximum streaming is 4500kbps/5mbps. Is that even 1080p/50fps streaming?

I use Getflix or DNS4ME.NET - both work equally fine.

Endeavor Streaming merged/acquired Neulion.  Its the same provider it was for FanPass.

Right missed that purchase, Neulion was what I expected to see

Pretty disappointing, but it's what I expected tbh. Just a re-skin of Fanpass.

Pity they don't offer 1 day, or 1 hour passes to try it out.

SSN Chat person advised there is no plan to allow the playback feature for phones/tablets/ps4 etc.

Unfortunately, its no different at all to fanpass. Just more channels and slightly different pricing.

Kayo it is.

The FAQ says there are sample highlight videos to try out before buying, but all of them I could find needed a subscription.

I asked live chat and their response was:

"I am unable to locate any sample videos"

Really poor experience so far.

It also looks like you won't be able to chromecast to Android TV based devices; their faq states that its CC only and not built in units... Querying that online with them now... Sky had the chance to do something similar to Kayo with this and they've blown it.

Simply search back through the electronic programme guide on the PC/Mac version of SKY Sport Now and click play.

You can scroll back up to 24‐hours ‐ all programmes that STARTED in the last 24‐hours should still be there for you to watch. Please, always check the start date of the programme (not the event, as these times often differ) before relying on this feature, as it's an added extra, and not something we can guarantee.

Big problem with this...

You can click play on a previously aired game, but if you then try to send it to Chromecast, it switches to live only.  I used to use the feature all the time, but now it doesn't work.  Suddenly Sky Sport Now is way less useful to me than Fanpass was 😠
