Hi Guys,

Just being curious, does anyone know if Skytv NZ is broadcast with a geographic lock? I'm a kiwi based in the UK and would really like to watch kiwi tv again and figured that since Sky broadcasts over a satellite, all I'd need would be a strong enough signal from Optus D1, a decoder and the all important active subscriber card!

It doesn't seem necessary to plug in the modem so astronomical phone bills wouldn't be an issue, can anyone think of any barriers?

Thanks in advance,

Jason

Maybe a better solution:

For freeview on your PC you try TVNZ on demand and TV3 ondemand?
Then for isky you can use http://www.isky.co.nz/ (But you will need to be a valid sky account holder)

For all of the above you will need to have a NZ Ip address. Search the net for a suitable provider that has an NZ server. I know Astrill has.
