I have had a Nokia E75 which was lost and as it was insured I lodged a claim. I'm curious to know whether whoever the scumbag is who "found" my phone could use it? After all, I imagine my phone now belongs to the insurance company, and I guess Telecom would have disabled it when I lodged the claim ?
It is best if your phone supports it enable the feature that will lock the phone if another type of sim is used and also a pin on our current sim card. I also have a feature eabled on mine that if I text it a certain phrase it will lock the phone. I have a Nokia N86.
you could call Vodafone and explain the Sensation and ask them if they could also black list the imei on there network that way it wouldn't work in nz.
Jadefuzy: you could call Vodafone and explain the Sensation and ask them if they could also black list the imei on there network that way it wouldn't work in nz.
Or ask johnr if they will even do it first, save a confusing call to the call centre:
