bear in mind that you do not get the spare stylus, phone stand and phone cover(essential!) if you buy off expert info.

E-Infotech is OK, I've dealt with them in the past.

BTW, might be worth waiting a little longer on this handset - Nokia announced in the last few hours that they are reducing prices on their S60 handsets across the board.

I purchased mine from e-info, more than happy with the product and price. Spare styli and holders can be picked up on Trade me pretty easy and cheap. The one I got from them didnt have video out which I believe is a worldwide hardware shortage

Grab a screen protector too.

The video out thing is potentially a biggie - you'll find a few parallel importers have handsets that have been dumped by overseas vendors where people aren't happy with the non-video-out versions.

These should have a sticker on the box stating that they don't have video out, apparently.

Mine came with Stylus and USB cable and Video out cable - no case and no stand - the box stated they should be there, so the store I bought from gave me a screen protector and a case for nothing - and knocked off a few bucks in the process.

I am currently in Hong Kong(will be in London in a few days), and I couldn't for the life of me get the gps to work!!

I've even set the gps settings to a-gps and it has been taking forever with no results. I'm sure my phone bill will say otherwise once i get back home.

Anyonelse have the same problem while overseas?

They'll work anywhere, GPS is not location dependant. It'll take quite a while without A-GPS though, and depending on conditions may take a while even with A-GPS - you need a clear view to the sky, a clear sky, and no surrounding tall buildings in order to the get the fastest lock times (and in HK you probably had 0-1 of those three conditions at any one time).

I've used phone GPS in Europe, around the pacific, and in China, without problems.

How long should I wait I haven't seen anything change and my wife is pressuring me to get a new handset or two LOL

Since I'm in Wgtn I'm going to get mine from Digiparallel Imports as they said they would price match.

What should I ask/check for when I buy i.e. already v40, additional stylus, cover, stand, video out etc ?

Who does also include the extras ?

Just check that it comes with Video Out cable, USB cable, charger, and 8GB Micro SD card.

The other things vary from package to package.

If the Vid-out cable is included, check the box for the sticker - if there isn't one stating there's no video-out, you're away laughing.

A 5530 doesnt include 3g or GPS but is smaller and more petite

Question: what would one use the video out cable for and where does it plug in ? I would have thought I could just get the media off the handset use the USB cable ?

Also does the protective cover impact on using the touch screen or is it just for transport ?

Also who does supply with all these additional accessories ?. I'll contact a few places...

It uses the 3.5mm plug and outputs straight to TV. Quite handy if you want a portable media player :)
Otherwise it has the standard usb/bluetooth transfer of files

Theres 2 sorts of protective covers - one to protect the screen from scratches (recommended) the other you can get is like a silicon case to protect the body from knocks (most dont cover the screen as well)

Is this simply "NZ Blue" or is the full code name "APAC2 NZ BLUE" required (eg http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/nokia-5800/23038-nokia-5800-product-codes.html)?
