Hey guys,

Just a quick question. I just bought (what I thought was) a 5833 Z3 Compact and was merily using it for the last 2 days, however just noticed when going through the various setup and setting screens, that the model they have given me was a 5803. From what I had thought the 5803 uses different bands, and the 5833 is better suited to the available bands in NZ.

Is this correct? What is the impact of just keeping the 5803 rather than the 5833?

Thanks in advance
Cheers

The main difference is D5803 doesn't support LTE band 28 which is the 700mhz spectrum which will provide extended coverage.

You'll still have LTE.

Most carriers currently have it deployed on band 3(1800mhz).

Here's a good answer to your question: http://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-D5833-and-D5803-of-the-Sony-Xperia-z3-compact
