Is anyone else experiencing this over the last couple of days? Channels one and two are practically unwatchable - pixelated over half the screen almost permanently.
Now, if it's not a broadcast problem - any ideas what might be causing it on my Tivo? No other channels are affected.

A reception problem.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

It wouldn't be a broadcasting problem, as other people would be having the same problem. Sounds like reception, possibly your aerial has brown out of alignment.

Brown? why do you have to make it racial?

Have you havd a lot of wind lately? [chortle] Your aerial may just have swivelled as the guy above suggests. Make like the Drifters and go up on the roof.

I had the same problem on Prime the other week. It turned out to be the cable between the wall and the TiVo. One of the connectors was suspect. The other channels were OK.. Replace the cable and is is well..

Yeah cover the bases.

Where do you live
How far are you from the broadcast tower
What lies between you and the broadcast tower
What aerial do you have
Is your aerial UHF only or UHF diplexed with a VHF aerial
What cable type runs between the aerial and your TV
What are the terminations like at each end
Do you have a cable right to the TV or does it end at a wall plate
How many outlets does the cable run to
Do you have a splitter
Have you tried another interconnect cable between the wall plate and the TV
Is your aerial aligned properly
etc etc

Could be any one or several of the above or another problem altogether.

The basics are covered because I've had the Tivo and Freeview HD for about 9 months now, and never had any reception-related problems.

It got completely unwatchable again towards the evening. That's a strange one - it works perfectly fine during daytime, but gets completely pixellated in the evening. And yet signal strength appears at 97%, even though at some stage the screen goes completely blank, so there is no reception at all. I've got it to a watchable level now by manipulating the aerial and then reducing video output from fixed 1080i to fixed 720p. It's not a perfect solution, but at least the channels are watchable again.
Again, it was funny that only the 2 TVNZ channels were affected. TVNZ, if you are reading this and are playing around with your transmitters - STOP! It's killing the reception.

You haven't really covered any basics, anything in environment between you and transmitter could have changed, leaves on a tree etc. Lets guess, by manipulate you mean indoor antenna.

I remember in the UK we had to ask the council to top a tree because it was in front of our dish, during the winter it was fine but come spring, the leaves destroyed our reception.

Nope, no tree and no other obstacles. By manipulate I meant climbing onto the roof and rotating the aerial until I got a decent picture on the TV. That's when the misus came in handy. :)

Are you using HDMI or Component from the Tivo to the TV? If you are using HDMI try using Component but do a full restart of your TIVO as well to ensure your buffers are clear. If this gives you a clear picture it may mean your HDMI cable is unwell.

If it was the HDMI cable, wouldn't all channels be affected the same?

Do TVNZ6 and 7 play up at the same times (they are on the same MUX as 1 and 2)?

Definitely sounds reception related.
