Hi,

Have just purchased a brand new GoPro Hero 5 Black from PB Tech. Unless the light conditions are absolutely perfect, the footage comes out with a purple tinge to it, and sometimes green lines.

I have uploaded 4 clips, do they look normal? I expected a lot better from something of this price, and other footage I've found online looks fine. My cheap Chinese phone takes better videos.....

I would be taking it back, that's an issue with the sensor by the looks of that.

Or try a Firmware update

Firmware was updated last night prior to those 4 videos, and no change. I have found a tiny bit of info about purple videos, and it does point to the sensor or a ribbon cable coming loose, but those were all old, well used cameras. I guess it could happen to a new one too.....

100% wrong. I own several GoPros, admittedly not a Hero 5, but there is no way that is OK. PB Tech should replace that for you.

Hi,

We got the camera swapped yesterday, and it's perfect now. Everything is crystal clear. Now to learn how to edit them!
