Not sure if this is the right forum... it's kinda DIY-ish... HTPC-ish... stuff. I'm interested in this unit from hardkernel. The power supply they're selling has a foreign plug, which I understand is illegal to import into NZ? Does anyone know where is the best place to get a power adapter that will suit this unit?

PS. Interested in running this unit on Ubuntu, with XMBC as an HTPC replacement.

The Jaycar one has a set of I think 7 plugs of different sizes/styles. You fit the one that matches your application, just need to get the polarity right (assume you have a multimeter to check). The web site says you need centre positive, outer negative.

The ODROID power adapter is a standard European 2 pin plug. You can get an adapter (similar to their Euro to US adapter) from DSE, Jaycar, 2Cheap, groceries stores, The Warehouse. There is no issue with using an adapter in NZ, but be aware they tend to sit loose so you probably want to glue/tape it together. There is no safety issue, the Euro pins have a long insulated section and you are unlikely to tough the contact if it partly falls out of the adapter (just like NZ plugs, where as the similar Chinese plugs and the US plugs do not have the insulation).
