Hi

I have the oven switch that I want to convert into a double plug with a switch (see photo).

I'm assuming the two red wires connect into the loop connection with one sourcing power from the switch board and the other goes to the oven itself. Then I will need another bit of red wiring to connect from the loop to the double plug connections, then connect up the earth and phase wires there?

I've attached some photos showing the oven switch with the two active wires connected and the earth and neutral sitting unused in the back and then a photo of what I want to replace it with.

Thanks

simple short answer is NO

- the extra switch will not be rated at a high enough current for the stove and burn out, possibly causing a fire.

- you are not allowed to loop a power point off the same circuit as the range as the current protection for the range is 32A and should a fault develope on whatever is plugged in, it will simply have a meltdown and catch on fire before the fuse/circuit breaker trips
