I used to be able to purchase US iTunes vouchers directly from Apple, and have the code emailed to me minutes later. But they are now rejecting the credit card I used to use to pay for this.

Where you you all buy your US iTunes credit from? There are a myriad of sites out there offering it, but they all look dodgy as.

Be a little careful there (if you've done it recently)
I had this and it rejected my card, called up the bank and they said the block had been removed- and then Apple reprocessed the payment so I ended up with a few vouchers.

But I use Offgamers.com, they have good prices and have been using without issue for a couple of years now

The first time I tried using the US store directly, it declined my BNZ Visa. I got an email within minutes from BNZ saying there'd been suspicious activity on my card, and a temporary block had been placed on it. I called them to remove this block. They did so, and said they had done something at their end to allow the transactions to proceed in future. But it didn't work.

I was able to successfully use my daughter's ASB debit card, and had been doing so since the start of the year. But when I tried last Friday, it is no longer being accepted.

iTunes US?  Surely they have provision for gifting to someone in a different country?

Giving these fellas a go. I like that they don't seem to add much on the top, and that I can use PayPal to pay as well. Initially trying a $30 voucher, but will get more expensive ones going forward (as in certain cases they are cheaper than face value).

OK, that went well. :-)

It was a little bit cumbersome, because I'm a first time purchaser, so I had to verify myself. But on the cumbersomeness scale, I'd actually rate it as less than buying directly from Apple. And the voucher code was available within minutes.

So I am no longer in danger of divorce and rioting teenagers, due to Hulu access being re-instated.

Thanks for the recommendation, @jnimmo.

Another option is buyfrompowerseller.com. I have used them for iTunes in the past and more recently for Hulu cards. They've been very reliable, but Offgamers appear to have better pricing. Will give them a go next time I need to top Hulu up.

Glad to help - true I forgot about the verification steps and 2 factor etc, nice they take security seriously though
(and 139k followers on Facebook isn't doing too badly,)

Find their prices for iTunes vouchers (above $30) is the face value of the voucher or just under, + credit card processing fees

Website scared me a little, but the PayPal direct options look to make it nice and easy, not having to register with them etc

I've used them for three or four years now with no issues, if it helps :)

Less expensive on Offgamers.com than any other service I have tried (and less than buyfrompowerseller.com that @freitasm and others suggested. I think I have found a new supplier.

With the payment fee, I paid 130 USD for a 130 USD US iTunes gift card. From my previous supplier I usually had to pay an extra 10% when buying cards, and it looks like thats the case for buyfrompowerseller as well.

Thank you @jnimmo for the tip about Offgamers.com :)

What's the major advantage buying US iTunes vouchers as against NZ vouchers?

You need them to put credit on an American iTunes account, which won't accept payment by NZ credit card.

Which in turn allows you to rent and buy movies from the US iTunes store, as well as subscribe to some services.

I've used Jerry Cards in the past. Recently I just ask my US based friend to email me a gift voucher :)
