razor2000nz: anyone else having buffering issues in kodi?  video buffers every couple of mins for 5-10 seconds, AFTV is a wired connection, have tried  all the advanced settings xmls, even installed spmc but that does the same.

http://trendblog.net/setup-kodi-xbmc-fire-tv-run-1080p-content/ and version 3 of the advanced settings

seems i wasn't quite doing the push of the setings correctly, i was using the fire tv utility app, have just re-pushed advance setting 3 manually from the trendblog article, and then did a reboot of everything, (router and aftv) seems to have done the trick!

I have BBC iPlayer and 5 installed on mine. I am with Vodafone and unotelly.
IPlayer is fine.
5 just will not work at all. But works fine on a pc via a web browser.
You can instal the stv app to get 'some' ITV content. There is no ITV player of course.

Hmmm. Nope. I use it on ethernet only (WiFi is the enemy of HD) and have no problem.

I have two, one on Ethernet and the other on WiFi and no issues streaming 1080 to either.

FireTV ethernet has compatibility issues with my HG569 but works fine with a ASUS-N56U.
