I have got the same problem. Its not showing up on the ATV. Might be possible to sideload the apk if its not possible to download it directly, but would be nice if it was showing up like a regular app on the Fire TV.

I just want to play some content from my home server. Not interested in running Plex server, etc though - just adding the folders would be enough. Kodi would be a good fit.

I just side loaded it and then used one of the simple tutorials to replace one of the stock apps with Kodi. It has the proper icon and is on the main screen. Took 10 minutes

Logged on to Amazon website with the same account your AFTV uses?
Worked for me, exactly as described.

Tried it too, nothing new is showing on my recent even after a sync thing and a power cycle on any of the fire tv's

It seems an update is coming out that enables Bluetooth headphones, external USB storage and login to WiFi portals (if you take your box to a hotel for example)...

Official external storage would be amazing! I currently have it thanks to being rooted and having stickmount, however because of that im on ancient firmware, netflix is on the old interface as well. External storage is about all i need root for so would be happy to update.

Hey folks, just got a Fire TV Stick and noticed that when you go into Netflix it says "pricing unavailable". I assumed being in NZ it wouldn't allow access to all the US stuff but I figured it'd pick up that Netflix was available? Anyone else got one?

I use an Amazon account with US region set. Fire TV is not "available" in New Zealand so I guess they wouldn't have the app.

Change region in your Amazon account, sync the Fire TV/Stick and try again.

Any idea as to when this is coming?

This would make the device a brilliant option for so many more people, given it will allow programs like Kodi to access local content. Most people don't have NASs, and don't have the technical nouse to block the firmware update to allow such access - I'm relatively tech-savy but I failed to stop mine updating! Should it come to pass I'd certainly recommend the product to others over more limited products like the current ATV.
