2671267189-b is the backup server, have noted when duke is showing the tennis it also reverts back to the backup server. I expect quite a few people are accessing the stream.

Make sure your Kodi is updated check for updates for addons in the settings menu etc

In the meantime I've updated the kiwitv2.m3u with 2 alternatives for tv1/2 at the bottom of the playlist

Hi again. I tried on Linux and Windows and TV1 and 2 etc wont work but other channels do using Kodi 17.3. You stated you are using Kodi 16.1 no problem. So I uninstalled Kodi 17.3 and installed Kodi 16.1. No other changes and it works correctly. TV1 and 2 all working. So something in Kodi 17.3 is stopping those working

Can you post your log file somewhere from Kodi 17?

Here is a quick 2 minute video that shows how to configure NextPVR to use this m3u url to setup IPTV channels in NextPVR, along with an EPG. At the end of these steps, you end up with ability to watch live tv and record these channels, including cool PVR features like season recordings. This setup is also able to be used as a backend for Kodi's built-in PVR functionality.

Excuse my ignorance of such matters, but -

a) does this apply to the new 4.0.4 version or old 3.9.2 version or both

b) would you say its better to do this IPTV stuff in NPVR as a source for Emby or to just put the IPTV stuff straight into Emby

c) in NPVR, can I use this IPTV stuff together with my normal DVB-S PCI-E Card - can they co-exist. Am also thinking of the channel numbering you show for your IPTV channels, which looks similar to the numbering I have for my DVB-S channels. Do I need to do a lot of renumbering or can I group them into a IPTV bouquet (if that's the right word) and a DVB-S bouquet while having the same channel number i.e in the IPTV list channel 1 refers to TVNZ1 via IPTV and in the DVB-S list channel 1 refers to the TVNZ1 via DVB-S.

You can either give them unique numbers, and treat them as separate channels, or merge them with your existing channels, so that they're treat them as just another source for the same channel. (in the same way you have merge DVB-T and DVB-S versions of the channels, to allow any of those sources to fulfil recording requests from that channel)

You can adjust the device priority of the IPTV Device with the 'up'/'down' buttons on the Settings->Devices screen.

When you're streaming a IPTV channel it defaults to highest quality stream available. In future I'll probably provide a feature to allow the user to choose a lower quality stream if they need to. If you mean, for a merged channel can it defaults to whichever source gives the highest resolution - no it can't do that, since it doesn't typically know what resolution it's going to get from each source, but you can adjust the priority of the devices to suit your preferences.

yep. same happening here too

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner, Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

Also seeing this issue - played a few advertisements then started playing the weather segment in Te Karere. Did not finish playing weather or repeat the ads - probably trying to buffer something.

EDIT: same issue on TVNZ 2.

I am loving this add-in, even my Raspberry Pi B+ can play them in Kodi with a better picture quality than my HTPC DVB-S setup! Only problem is the Pi takes about a minute to switch to TV1 and TV2, I assume because they are HDTV.

Anyways, anybody know why we cannot get HGTV through this add-in? Or the music channels like The Edge?

And where do people find the legal streams such as Sky News etc? Is there anything like that for any of the Ausi channels?

I don't believe there is a HGTV NZ live freeview stream.

The 3Now (google matt huisman) plugin has a live stream of The Edge.

For Aussie Channels use the "OS Live TV" addon for live streams.

The plus7 and TenPlay addons are good for ondemand stuff.

Also anyone finding previously they use to open near instantly now they are taking up to 15 seconds and thats on 50mbit download fibre
