I've spent the weekend reading up on how to get this in New Zealand and to be honest the heads a bit full of too many tips, advice etc.

To (hopefully) simplify a few things I wanted to check in with those in the know and confirm I have it correct.

1) Get a dns unblocking service and sign up to it
2) Head to Netflix USA and sign up using a USA address and zip code but supplying a NZ credit card and billing address (that correct?)
3) Login and enjoy.

That's the quick and simple version I hope.

Some other questions.

Do NZ credit cards work when signing up to netflix usa, if not what's the best current option(s) to pay for it?
I have read some folks are using a Youshop address as a USA address that is provided on registration - is this really the best idea?view it as
If I use the netflix app on the xbox 360 should I set the dns unblock up on that device first, then install the netflix app, then login?
If I already have the netflix app and try and login with/without the dns change to the xbox would it work?

..and lastly is there a noticeable benefit to using the USA version of Netflix vs. the NZ version?

its actually even easier than that now, since Netflix gives you a 'global' account that will simply show you content from wherever you are (or rather, wherever it thinks you are)

1) sign up to NZ Netflix  (using NZ address and cc), download apps to whatever devices you want.

2) get unblocking service, set it up on whatever devices you want (or just in your router, if you can)

3) Enjoy US netflix

that way you don't need to worry about youshop, cc being rejected etc etc

the US version of Netflix is miles better than NZ version, because netflix are too tight to buy content rights for NZ when they know most people will use US anyway, so be able to access the content just fine.
