So, I've recently purchased a 4k LG OLED TV.

For some reason I am not getting anything on Amazon Video in 4K or HDR. I have Googled what titles are meant to be 4K HDR, but when I try to stream them I only get 1080p SDR.

This happens in both the LG Prime Video app and the Xbox One X app. Netflix 4K HDR works fine on the LG app and Xbox.

Currently have a chat open with Amazon support, but not getting anywhere.

Is anyone else having trouble with getting 4K and HDR on Amazon prime?

OK, Amazon were of no help - but I figured it out myself.

The Ultra HD content is completely separate from the standard HD stuff, and the search results generally don't show any UHD results.

So it's there, but tricky to find. You have to scroll way down the the "genres" and you'll find "Prime 4K Ultra-HD TV" and "Prime 4K Ultra-HD Movies".

I don't know why they can't just do like Netflix, you search the show and if your TV can do UHD it plays in UHD.
