Hi Geeks

I need to get fit but I mountain bike, exercycle, swim and do pilates to get fit as well as walk.  Is there a fit band thingy that can track me on these activities as I think running is evil and never do it?  Every time I try to google them I just get the hard sell aimed at runners rather than info on what it actually does.

Cheers

The main obstacle is going to be the swim part. I do training for triathlon events (swim/bike/run), and just use the mapmyfitness app on my phone...it tracks everything except the swim (which I manually enter)....also when training on the indoor trainer in the garage I can just enter those manually (thinking of your exercycle and pilates sessions) not perfect but I think that will be a hard task to find something that is. Plus it won't cost any extra (you don't need to use data with the app - just GPS from the phone)

Other than that - the other solutions (as you have already found) will likely be more expensive.

Good luck :) and good on you for getting out in amongst it!

There are a couple of Garmin options, or if you want a watch, Tom Tom have a multisport version that appears to be water resistant to a decent pressure.

"TomTom Multi-Sport Cardio Watch allows you to track your pace, speed, time and calories burned in real time, when you run, cycle and swim."

at $450 it ain't cheap but it looks pretty decent.
