Remember pension day is Tuesday. A day to avoid.

Ah, so that explains why my local supermarket gives a certain % off on Tuesday, to people over 65 with their gold card.

Every second Tuesday.

Walked around our (large) block yesterday, with wife and dog. After torrential rain in Wellington, lots of people on the street but since no cars on the road everyone giving wide berth to others. Quite nice but very quiet.

That is normally a horrific place to shop!

I know where I am going next shop!

Dang! I should have kept quiet, now everyone will go there! 😀

I normally walk 10-12km a day; last week I walked 24km total - I currently park outside work, which removes 5km walk per day and my 5km at lunchtime has been reduced to almost nothing because there isn't enough time for lunch. Haven't done my exercise bike in a few weeks either ..

As for the supermarket; did the normal weekly shop on Saturday. Had to wait in a small line for about 5 minutes while waiting for someone to come out of the store - too many people in the store though as it was hard to keep distances from some people. Everything I needed was on the shelf. The only strange bit was at the checkout; I unloaded the trolley I was handling and my food was then packed into a new one that hadn't been wiped down before I touched it.

Went for a pleasant stroll around the old museum here in Wellington. Saw a few people walking or jogging around and we were all making sure to give each other a wide berth. nice day for it :)

Just got back from the supermarket. Busier than I expected but somehow still very eerie. Waited in line for a few minutes to get in (one in, one out). Stock levels pretty good, couple things looked a little light (flour and soap). Overcharged on a few items - maybe old pricing tickets up or a glitch? The Perspex screens at the checkouts are an odd sight to see. Overall looked like they were keeping up okay on the cleaning.

Mostly people were good about maintaining a safe distance. Except one gentleman who got up close and personal from behind me. Asked him nicely to step back and he ignored me. So I fake coughed loudly and that sent him scurrying.

Wither Hills (nothing to do with eponymous winemaker) walking tracks in Blenheim have reopened, due to rain.  We live nearby so I went for a much needed hill walk for a few hours.  Really blew out the cobwebs.

Yesterday we took the dog to Karori Park for a walk, but we couldn't stay because there were a huge number of people there and most weren't keeping their distance. I was particularly concerned to observe unsupervised children running around or riding bicycles within close proximity of other people.

I think we will have to stick to the streets closest to home as people seem to be much more compliant in that environment.

You guys seem the meme, with the dog cowering above a cupboard in a kitchen trying to avoid being taken for yet another walk? :)

We went for a walk with our dog yesterday and took a different route and came across this , We have lived in the same place for 15 years and had no idea that was there. I was half expecting a balloon to float out and an appearance of the IT clown.

@RunningMan , haha yeah we went through it, CHCH was supposed to be under water restrictions not so long ago and there was water coming out of the walls in many places as we walked through guess they don't check their services running through there very often.

I've decided to avoid all the single tracks in my neighbourhood -- too many people and too narrow to pass with space. Why are there bikes on Silversky at the moment? Impossible to pass! Sticking to the roads.
