So, I am regular gym user. I do dead-lifts every week and I make some noise - they are a heavy exercise with lots of weight. However in this clip on Youtube some dumb-ass who doesn't agree with someone else being in the gym literally kicks the bar out of a teenagers hands in the middle of a dead-lift.

 

 

Apparently this is now in the hands of the Police:

 

 

How many people here take exception to noises at the gym? My thoughts - it's not a meditation studio, people can be working hard and noises like grunting, weights getting dropped, etc. are part of life.

 

There are many places that offer "machine only" type gyms and no free weights; if you don't like noise go there.

I always wear headphones at the gym. So don't care about noise.
