I think the problem here is not his "work" but the Stuff article being misleading - Stuff editors should really check before publishing claims.
Stuff story now includes the following comment at the bottom:
* In an earlier version of this story , Donkers said he “developed and designed the percussive massage gun”. This was not correct. Donkers developed the logo and a business importing the gun and a selection of attachments into New Zealand.
