I don't see that option. I've got door auto lock & unlock, interior light and headlight options, but nothing about wing mirrors. :-(

I also don't have the option in LeafSpy with my 2015 AZE0. My sons Leaf with all round cameras & Bose sound has got the auto folding mirrors. Would have to check if there is an option when connecting LeafSpy to his car?

re new battery replacement at ev enhanced

just read a survey on the site which suggests the price will be circa 1/3 of a new leaf.

so it'll cost around 25k +/- 5k ... but will it get 40-60kwh?

The important thing is whatever capacity you do get will be actually usable long-term, with a far more resilient pack and cooling system that is designed for 100% charges.

It's basically pushed me into the 'buy a 40kw Leaf' camp knowing I now have some sort of update path.

If the leaf is the right car , but 40kwh leaf + ~$25k upgrade vs a $60k model 3 or ioniq etc?

It just gives me some comfort that I won't be left with an expensive lawn ornament if the battery wear picks up faster than I expect.

I'd be trying to import one for substantially less than what is on offer on TM at the moment.

If it's $25K we won't bother - we'll sell our Leaf and find another option at that price. $15K is about where it would need to land for us because by that stage the Leaf will be the second car and will need to fulfill the "kids drive it" role. I only paid $28K for the Leaf when I bought it... Trading it in on a $15K Leaf would get enough range back to make it worthwhile for that.

i'd consider if it were 20k and 60kwh ...

hopefully on the survey everybody will reply appropriately so they drop the price

but we'll know soon, as this is relevant to people who have end of life leafs at the moment

agree no point buying a new car expecting to fork out another 25k on a replacement battery that makes no sense

I might at that size too I guess, but I doubt they're going to jam 60kWh of LFP batteries into that space and still have room for thermal management. I'd expect less than 40kWh.

One thing I haven't seen much talk about is the credit you might get for an existing pack, or whether than 1/3rd new cost already includes a credit for the pack they'd be taking out.

I'd imagine there'll still be a market for the OG battery packs themselves and people swapping 24kw Leaf batteries for bigger ones, even if they can't afford the LFP ones. So a credit for a few thousand on a brand new pack for swapping an OK-ish condition good one might make the difference.

Re: 20+k$ battery upgrades for old Leafs - those who had embarked on that kind of business (3+ companies in NZ) have not learnt from the history.
The history tells us - there were many companies in USA who though it was a good business idea to install Li battery packs into 2004-2009 year model Prius making them Plug-In hybrids. They even started doing that. They all long way gone from the market for various reasons (money not the only one) but those non-modified Prius are still running on USA and New Zealand roads.
Very frequently brilliant ideas (broad statement covering not only batteries but IT/IS world) albeit looking exciting and cool are frequently shuttered by the market realities and by the oversight from developers who are narrow-focused into polishing their product and reacting with hope to the "likes" on a social media, forgetting that the number of likes and comments full of excitement and joy frequently do not eventuate into the cash flow.
