That reminds me of a line from My Science Project. It was referring to the use of a turbo charger but it'd have nothing on a Tesla. Anyway;

Completely off-topic regarding the video, would you believe I owned a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge? No supercharger of course.

Like most muscle cars from that era, it was a terrible daily car. Braking was always a white-knuckle affair.

Even with a 75 liter petrol tank, I could see the fuel meter move when I "floored it." And forget about handling.

My friend had a '63 Sting Ray,1963 Chevrolet Corvette C2

Beautiful car, but almost impossible to change the tires. It had almost non-existent bumper, so not fun to park. For a huge 2 seater, it had almost no luggage space

I would not recommend anyone buy an old muscle-car, unless you park it in a museum.

EV Talk reports the Tesla Model 3 reached 359 registrations in September.

This makes it the 3rd top seller in the month. If rental fleet sales are excluded, it's number one.

Don't tell me I'm a Tesla hater because I posted this video. I'd loved to have one.

Driving in a parking lot is more complex than driving on the highway.

Often there's a lot of cues you get by looking at the driver, like
* are they looking in their rear view mirror?
* are they signaling to me at me by waving a hand
* are they yelling "go around!"

Funny. The car didn't want to drive at the people standing by the back end of their car. For me, a fail would be hitting a person, car or other object.

Maybe Tesla should look into Jaguar Land Rover Virtual Eyes Intelligent Pod

There's a lot of cues missing from the driver less car.

That’s an interesting point. Perhaps it should flash it’s lights or make a specific sound when being operated autonomously to warn nearby pedestrians.

I have a X and do not have FSD on it (which has Summon feature). But when I got a trial for 30 days to try it, I had a good play with Summon feature and did not really feel it was very useful. This was nearly 10 months back which was running old version. Perhaps they slightly improved it now but calling it smart is.. hmm.. not sure :)

However, I believe that's how Tesla does their real world testing, learn from mistakes and adapt and release enhancements.

As long as it does not hurt anyone I guess it's all good. Autopilot has improved a lot since I got mine a year back.

Or just talk through an external speaker.

"Waiting on pedestrians, please go ahead"

"Waiting on incoming traffic, please go ahead"

"I'm confused. I'm reversing out of traffic"

Blocking traffic with no indication to the outside world of its intention is not going to make it popular.

Or just wait till a magic percentage of all cars are autonomous and can talk to each other by WiFi.

If I might be candid, I'm tired of corporations using me as an unpaid and unwilling beta tester.

It's also dangerous, as things get worse before they get better: the reverse wave, stop waves, ghost jams effect

You'll see a number of videos where the stopped Tesla blocked traffic, then caused near-misses of suronding cars.

Tailgating is the 99% cause of ghost jams. Seen it over and over and over.

Off subject, people driving in the passing lane, and waiting till the last possible moment to push their way over several lanes is a real problem too.

Anyone have experience with Tesla autonomous driving in New Zealand cities, preferably congested centers?

Is it reliant on good maps, good GPS locks?
