The Porsche Taycan has Apple Music built into it.

Somehow it just seems wrong that someone who can afford more than one Porsche still can't use an apostrophe correctly
11/10 for car taste, 2/10 for grammar
Ha! I wouldn’t confuse having some money with having intelligence, good taste, generosity, compassion, or indeed anything positive.
Happy with the Oxford comma? In my own defence, I think Apple auto-corrected it, and I didn’t notice.

I'm not counting or asking about carplay

Hey, I'm just envious of your Porsches, always wanted a 911 - just the epitome of a classic sports car in my opinion.
Watching the Sandy Munro Model Y teardown. TLDR it looks like (sample of 1 car, haha) the gap problems are still there, but also looks like the Y is a step up, engineering-wise, on the 3.

Keep in mind that the Model 3 they tore down was one of the early production models. A lot of the improvements we see in the Y are already in current production Model 3 as well. The headliner for example is using the same cloth material that the Model Y is using now.

As some may know, my Model 3 Performance was messed up by a meth-head on a one lane bridge on March 7th near Cape Runaway.
The lockdown slowed things down a bit, but eventually AA Insurance decided to write the car off and pay me out the agreed value. That was all fine, and I promptly ordered another Tesla Model 3. This time, a Long Range. The exchange rate has weakened slightly, so the price to me had increased by a couple thousand. NO big deal. But then Tesla add delivery charges and a few bits and pieces and the total for the new Model 3 Long Range became $101,000 and change. No problem. Order in.
A week passed.
A friend came by and took me for a ride in his Model 3. Very nice. The effect of the ride was interesting.
It's JUST A CAR!!!!!
What the hell am I doing spending $100,000 on a car? I'm the guy who was "10 years old and $10,000" for cars until I went electric in June 2016......just under 4 years ago.
I'd also ordered an MG ZS EV for $50,100. They called a few weeks ago to say it was now due in November.....a year after I placed the order. Yeah....nah.
So yesterday morning I was looking at spending $151,000 and change on two cars. By the end of day I'd cancelled both orders and my 30kWh LEAF sitting in the garage was, once again, my main car both in mind and in reality.
I'm going to wait a while and see what happens. I'll definitely buy a new EV at some point soon......but I'm not going to spend crazy money on it. I've already seen how it only takes one druggie to destroy a beloved and very expensive car in a second.....and leave me hanging for literally months.
Nah. No thanks. I may buy another Tesla but it will have to be a LOT cheaper than anything they sell now. Even the SR+ is now a cup of coffee and sandwich less than $80,000. The "affordable" Model 3 is nothing like affordable in my eyes now. I just do not want to spend that much money on a car. Any car.
But I did love it. It was awesome.

Obraik: I'm sorry to hear you're "leaving the family"! It IS a lot of money to spend, especially during the times we're in now. If I'm ever in the area I can stop by and give you a Model 3 fix 😉

It’s lucky people didn’t know what a truly horrible person Henry Ford was, otherwise he wouldn’t have sold 15 million Model Ts. But the motor company he founded is still around today, and even dipping its toes in the electric world.
I really like the Model 3, and even more, the Model Y. But have never bought into the Tesla cult, which in many ways is like the Apple cult. If you only buy something to ‘follow the leader’, then you will eventually be let down (IMO).
If I could afford $100K I would already have a BEV, (probably a M3), but would rather have the money in the bank in the present circumstances.
