Just in the last week people have gone a bit nuts on the roads.

Full moon on the way?

I'm trying to turn left into a park. This guy wins muppet of the week.

This was a really near accident at a roundabout...distances are much closer than they look due to the wide angle cam.

And, this driver was not paying attention while I was changing lane....(and I was signalling but he never rechecked before pulling out)....

In most cases it takes two "muppets" to cause an accident.

People make mistakes, can be careless, impaired etc and you should factor that into your driving speed, road position, following distance etc.

"Drive to the conditions" isn't just about rain but location (supermarket car park), traffic, time of day, pedestrians etc.

Video 1: Who knows if / how you were indicating or if you were even aware of the car in a hurry behind you. Perhaps reverse parking would have been a more appropriate choice for a skilled driver; indicating left, pulling over and stopping in front of the park, letting following cars past, then reverse parking when clear to do so (thereby not crossing into the wrong lane).

Video 2: Probably fault on both those parties; one failed to give way the other travelling far too fast for the conditions.

Video 3: A prudent driver ought to have observed the vans brake lights as a hazard and adjusted speed / road position accordingly so as to avoid having to brake heavily behind it. Obviously van should have indicated too but as a good driver you expect him not too.

You may think you have the "right of way" all the way to the hospital however if you care to avoid accidents all together you should exercise more due care yourself.
