I
would suggest you PM warehouse stationary with your order number

Just need them to confirm that applies to all of us!

And they've confirmed it!

This will be a better and probably less costly outcome than a conviction and fine under the Fair Trading Act, where all parties would have lost out

Hmmm, bloody glad they saw sense
I was in store around half 2 with a box in front of me when I rang CSR and asked them to explain stock availability.
Was on hold for 10 minutes before she came back and asked for SKU number and then tried to tell me it is a different model.
Was put on hold again and then she came back and told they'd found stock and would honour the purchase.

Well I am glad it all worked out for everyone in the end, I am hoping that they do another one next month but maybe not now that their website has issues with the stock.

I wonder if it had anything to do with people holding them in the cart then the cart timing out.

Anyway will be interesting to see what happens next friday 13th and if they do another one for something.

I did that, and it wouldn't let me go ahead with the sale once it was out of stock...clicking on "Checkout" from the cart, once it was listed as out of stock, resulted only in a message "this item is no longer available"

Tried MANY times to get through that point, and never managed it...so I think it must have been some kind of stock level updating error or something...

Have just had a phone call from someone I spoke to earlier today on their 0800 number. The refund had apparently already been processed earlier, before they decided to honour the sale. Card details have been taken over the phone, and my order will be processed and watch sent out!

Well done Warehouse Stationery, thank you for putting this right!

I suspect it is more to do with in-store shoppers eating up stock that the online system wanted to sell.
Most ecommerce systems update stock SKUs and descriptions on a schedule, it's not infeasible that this particular system also updates stock levels on a schedule.

It's poor either way, and something they are going to want to fix before any more online sales I suspect!

The Black Friday special was probably setup to differentiate the 100 that could sell at $130 ONLINE ONLY , from the normal stock they had in the chain. Chances are LG help fund the special agreed to give rebates on 100 units only.
