Thanks guys, we just feeling a bit bummed out as we have recently bought a blu ray player and no point getting a cheap veon 1366x768, so we wanted 1080p.

Is the samsung 40" as good as the sony?

What about this?

http://www.harveynorman.co.nz/tv-and-audio/televisions/4k-uhd-televisions/panasonic-48-4k-ultra-hd-smart-3d-led-lcd-tv.html

how does 3d tv work?

oh yes just noticed the lg one too, but its not 3d.

does jb have any equivalent deals, would like to use the deferred payment qcard if we can. all cash resources we are pushing toward a house.

Not sure. Sorry am on my phone but the 50inch Sony smart TV still seems available on the jb website: http://shop.jbhifi.co.nz/plasma-lcd-tvs/tvs/sony-kdl-50w700b-50-full-hd-led-lcd-smart-tv/84136

Hope so anyway, if they contact me after and tell me it's out of stock, I'll be pretty pissed off since I settled for this one over the other deals that are around. Has Ethernet port, 4x HDMI ports etc so am pretty pleased with the purchase. The warehouse were selling a similar 48 inch model for the same price and sold out.

Either way, I'm sure there will be more similar sales for new years and into January when retail sales die down.

no i think its still in stock, its just the stores cant tell each other inventory, its like 1999, they said they dont have time to phone around and check for us.

so if u paid other than qcard i think u will be fine.

There was a queue at PB Tech Wellington at 8:30am this morning, took me back to when it was Yoobee at that same location when I queued for the iPhone 3GS and vowed never again.

I decided to write the product codes for the two items I wanted so when mostly everyone went straight to the shelves I went to the counter with the codes and was in and out in less than 5.

Pretty nice. Those lgs look good too. Harvey Norman has the same one for about $10 more. 55inch for 400 more.

50 inch so small. Forget 4k go bigger, or save some money and get a1080p model.
