There are some sneaky tricks to get alixpress to contact you about dusputes. Instructions on their forum. I can't recall where u click.

I can assure you I didn't get paid for my post, just bought stuff from them in the past and found them OK.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

They don't deserve the business if their disputes system is broken and they don't have anyway to contact them. They don't seem to have the same level of consumer protection that they do in NZ. Ebay and paypal I have found is a far safer way to buy things. When you buy of Aliexpress I don't think you can use paypal.

Ive not had a problem with the disputes process for things that didnt arrive.

Ordered a camera and it didnt have the lens in the picture, and the blurb had about 2 different lenses in it, and it came with the crap lens. Got resolved with a partial refund.

I think it is different if the goods don't arrive, as you can either get a chargeback or a full refund under aliexpresses terms. TH problem comes if goods aren't advertised correctly, and they send you something that differs from teh advertised goof. It also depends if you decide to escalate it to aliexpress, or you just open up the dispute with the trader. The trader I was dealing with offered me a full refund if I refunded the incorrectly advertised good back to them, or a partial refund (about 30%) if I kept it. If you look at Ali Expresses guarantees, this is what their guarantee is if the good is wrongly advertised, so it doesn't really offer that much protection. The item was no good to me, and it was going to cost me more than the object was worth to send back. So I opened up a dispute case with aliexpress itself, as I wanted a full refund. But nearly a month later, the case remained open with no ali express staff getting back in contact with me.
I have found that the same things that are on Aliexpress, are sold on Ebay, and are usually cheaper on ebay, plus you get paypal protection which is far better.
