At this rate we might not get 350 if we continue losing wickets.

Nice to see Chapman getting promoted today. I hope they have a nice partnership before Phillips comes in the backend of the innings. Need to get at least 380+ to be safe.

At best on both feet, not front foot.

technically he should rock onto the back foot and swivel off that foot like a hook shot, puts body weight through the ball, you can also use your hand speed a little at the end to slog it. but he  just went off both feet gently lol. like he felt sorry for hurting the balll so much.

Front door gives torque. A base the body can hit from. Ive seen Guppy play off his back foot sideways, nice. Not a long boundary but nice. Or he gets on his front foot, literally punches it in the air, not mush follow through, but a 6

Guppy my fav NZ opener ever.

Chapman is just made for white ball cricket, his avgs reflect it. He plays with not many overs yet can get that 50+ score so often. I dont think we would see Latham ahead of GP either.

Nice to see this partnership continuing. 400 might be possible if we don’t lose anymore wickets

Yep, a LOT of players can go hard. But some need freedom. Nice total up they can play free, naturally. Others could be far better batsmen, but they dont play pressure well. Play not to lose rather than to win. Trick is to place them accordingly.

Wickets dont matter now, better value to lose wickets regularly if they get quick fire 150 to 200 RR's each

Rauf has pulled his final 5 overs back in.

NZ 344, should hit 400 off final 6 overs. But anything over 380 will be a real struggle.

Ughhh Wasim, very good.

NZ need to start finding the boundary again, run rate slipping.

GP has to bat for himself and Santner, who at this point should hit out or get out, latham can tonk it.

about time from Santner. one of my fav shots in cricket.

edit: bad luck for GP, most batsmen who stand more to off that would have been a leg side wide. flukey.

IMO this is huge for NZ, to know they can score 400+ vs a half decent team after the big score vs aus.

Well played NZ.
