Wouldn't surprise me since they have in the past for the Jp race(that goes for the Jnr team too). I reckon Yuki will do ok going forward, he just needs start landing points to stay in the seat & then move upwards as the season goes on. Be very interesting to see what Honda do with Yuki's sponsorship at the end of the year with the team switch.

Have wondered that too. Might not be the wisest idea with the car already having low grip that only Verstappen is able to handle. Tsunoda has been talking himself up, hope he can also walk the walk this weekend or it's going to get pretty ugly for him.

Mind you, if it is $20 million that Honda has shovelled Red Bull's way for the seat, I guess they are not that worried about the WCC any longer. Enough to pay the staff bonuses at the end of the season and I think they will be needing the extra wind tunnel time for finishing 4-5th in that championship this year.

I am a Liam fan, back to sister/junior team is the best move for his career.

 

It was pretty clear Liam didn't have the experience to switch his driving style on the fly to how the RB21 needs to be driven ie:

 

• RB21 needs U shaped corners, trail breaking, subtle inputs and gentle turn in
• Liam currently has style that is late breaking, V shaped corners and aggressive turn in (similar to Carlos Sainz when he had less experience)

i don't know what the problem is, we will see if he is faster in the Vcarb in a few days' time.

i do know that he perhaps could have been a bit less cocky. his attitude really put him in a difficult situation when the results weren't forthcoming.

i do think RB could have had better planning instead of chucking him in an F1 car for the last 6 races, they absolutely had zero planning, the last few years were focussed on infighting basically

- for example, Antonelli was groomed by Toto over 2 years and was given 10,000kms to practice in a real F1 car. and the results speak for themselves. he wasn't the best in F2, but all the time he was gaining experience in an F1 car. in that sense, Toto > Christian.

I don't think it was an April Fools story but I just saw an article where Marko says Yuki will get till the end of this season to prove himself.

As things stand it's probably Lawson's last season in F1. If they deem him not good enough for F1 and VCARB is a development team then I'd expect they'd promote Lindblad next season to be alongside Hadjar. There's virtually no other spots on the grid freeing up either.

So he really needs to put a lot of good performances in this year and hope he can beat Hadjar most of the time too. Then maybe he can get another shot at Red Bull, or hold on another season at VCARB.

how long were they developing Danny Ric for? RB stable is a fubar team. they don't know their ass from their mouth yet they have 4 drivers in the competition. i have no idea how FIA deems it legal.
