Hands of to RB though, the car is a monster when in the hands of a talented driver but anyone know why Perez isn't performing aswell?  I'm assuming the car is predominately setup for the lead driver in terms of style rather than balanced for both?

The Race channel on YouTube did an interesting video on this question.  Here is the link it you want to go take a look

Perez job is to protect Verstappen, get constructor podiums/points, and get paid for these. When Verstappen is not in the hunt for a win suddenly Perez will magically win.

If you bring a young hot head to challenge Verstappen you have other issues you don't want to deal with. You don't want another Alonso/Hamilton pairing.

Horner says he's perfectly happen with Perez. He's not a weakness. He's a strength. Now if Verstappen was underachieving that's a different story.

Edit - last i checked Sergio has more WDC points than any other driver after Max.

I love watching Ferrari they are the most consistent entertainers in an otherwise boring sport

Really? K-Mag getting pole in that insane Quali topped it I reckon. I will admit that Ferrari are very entertaining though...

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Yes the end result was insane but I can't help it, the entire Q3 was only showing the Ferrari clowns, didn't see K mag's lap at all, or anyone else - apart from Perez.

Fun sprint race, good passing. Max on medium didnt work out as the temp cooled so he got deg. With Mercedes continuing to improve, and the grid order should be a fun race

Stroll is an absolute menace, how Vettel managed to keep it out of the wall with his foot flat and two wheels on the grass was impressive.  His comment on the radio of "OK" in response to the dangerous driving also showed how much he has matured and calmed down since his early days.

Back in the day Vettel was terrible, but now, its the same with all rookies. Verstappen was the same. But that Stroll defense was way too much. I'd give him time, its not like the team owner will sack him... He has pace, but choose when to use it. Learn from the mentor although Alonso probably isnt going by his comments.

He's a liability. Not just to his team but to anyone on the track with him. If his dad wasnt a team owner I think he'd be dropped long ago.

Yeah Race at 7am I start at 7am. Told a colleague to not day anything a few months back. He didnt, apart from "you will like the race". Great, so he knows the drivers I follow, and I will like the race....

Years ago, same deal, no internet. So I was wandering around the offices, and a red car on someones screen caught my eye, bugger!

Wow. I was thrilled when Max won last year and stoked this year too.
Massive loss of respect for him. What an absolutely appalling decision. Potentially cost your teammate 2nd in the championship. What a massive ****.
