Hard call goes against warriors and our goal line defense holds on for 5 minutes.
This IS a different team by a long shot.
Roosters already tired and bunching 4 minutes before half time. Our fitness again, supreme.
Bahahaha AMAZING RTS
Warriors defend their try line for the last 3 minutes and get 4 penalties and RTS plays yes sir and gets away from having a sin bin, like i said, about round 3 the refs stop being over zealous with whatever this years refs target is, which has been sin bins for held downs.
18:6 half time.
to put it all in perspective the warriors prior have lost 90% of their games without Johnson. Add being without Mannering, Papalii AND Gavet to that, to be up by 12 points is a but surreal.

Lol, im not a fan but working on it, retired many years ago! Roosters are apparently the go to pick for the comp. So, I will side with Teaman. I was going to say Teabag but this is not fair, so I won't. Re Prison Break!
As I type this, my go to NRL fan of fans texted and said its packed with internationals, so a good loss is a solid result.
It sounded meaner than it was intended I think. I just feel for the fans that the Warriors are so hard done by season after season. I hope they deliver.
Didnt take it as mean, it was reality. But they are playing like the AB's, in that, give a sniff we are in. And defence is top notch, but they need to stop giving penalties. Was it 3 sets of 5, or 2?

Haha no just a realist. Like any team losing 4 of their best players and their number one play maker in Johnson against a quality team away from home, you would be expecting us to be beaten. But at the moment we are steam rolling them with Lino replacing Johnson.
Lol, didnt see this, it must be true, the word realist!

Penalties. Are you saying we are hard done by?

I dont think so. I think we are playing like the storm, pushing the refs to their boiling point. We were last week and the week before. But I feel the refs are letting it flow a bit more. Its hard to say as replays dont always show the try line defenders due to the angle.
Either way they are playing like men possesed, just when you think someone is about to score there is 4 men on him.
Defense hasnt definitely improved this year. I dont know if thats just pure fitness.
Luke is making zillions of metres up the middle. Harris is amazing. Lino is actually looking better as a 7 than Johnson lol. Usually we would be down by 20 without Johnson by now. Its the depth of our forwards. We have a lot of fit forwards. Losing 4 starting forwards is HUGE in league, forget even Johnson. So it shows the depth of how fit our whole team is including reserves.
Warriors chant goes around ALIANZ stadium, what is going on.
Flappn Blake Green, 2 40/20s 2 weeks in a row. U beauty, another quality aussie !
FLYING Fusitua, the michael jordan or rugby league. Mason Lino, perfect kick, pin point, thats as good as it gets. Fus is gonna score a lot of tries this year.
Can we sell Johnson? lol (Jokes).
I do want our forwards back from injury though.
Very proud of MY team.
dont need to see any more. this is the best team/club the warriors have ever had.
its the real deal.
I like what andy just said, something like, "since their intro they have been an attractive fun club to watch, they are now a professional club. make no bones about it they are the story of the year"
Its a statement, Roosters expected to be top 4 and we beat them 30-6 and we beat the other top expectee first round the Rabbits.
Eat it up and get behind them, we have a professional team.
Best game I have seen from the warriors in 20 odd years. Missing their playmaker and three of there best forwards to touch up a heavy weight is not to be underestimated
Mason Lino MotM imo, considering your reserve grade half back is the best on the field, DEPTH
How we have kept Mason Lino in reserve grade for 5 years is beyond me, he must be the highest paid reserve grade player. We lost lolohea and lots of players from the Lino u21 team but some how we have kept him. Id expect $600k offers after that performance and his experience winning u21s and second grade comps. Perhaps Johnson is just a show pony. It just shows you what a real 7 can do in a team. And blake green, brilliant. We should have had Johnson in blake greens position and Lino at 7 4 years ago.
I expected top 4 by now.
Roosters
Dragons
Souths
Manly
for the top four. So very chuffed we have beaten 2 of those and currently number 1, although dragons will prob win and we will be 2 due to for and against.
tdgeek: A magic game, no luck needed. Ball skills and go forward and play as we expect to win. AB confidence
the difference this week to last week, less errors, better completion rate, it really is the basis. notice how much we offload this year. probably already twice as many offloads in 4 games as the whole of last season. but kearney wants them to be quality offloads. its very hard to stop second phase play in league. if you get really good at choosing when to throw the offload and have players backing up, offensively you dont really need a playbook. you just play whats in front of you.
but completions first, fitness and defense, will win you games. you would have seen how many times we repelled them from our try line. the old warriors would have let in every single one of those sets of six and we would be chasing 30 points.
i think Kearney deserves some credit. combined what he did with the kiwis.
We have cowboys at home, should be a win. Broncos at home, should be a win. Dragons at home, hmmm. That will be our real test. They are on fire.
I still think we looked better structurally with Lino than Johnson. Plus Lino has an 83% kick record and 100% this year. Johnson misses some critical kicks. Both work with stacey and halligan.
Manly cleaning up the raiders. Not fancying playing them twice this year, but I guess playing the dragons and manly twice, if we win 2/4 or better its a positive.
