Batman:

1. just look at Vestappen doing a Ricciardo on Vettel, tell us what happened.

2. Let me take you to Singapore 2017. Unnecessary. Different day, same result.

Whats your point? Is every driver supposed to have hindsight?

VES cannot pass, he is overrated, whereby the passes he makes are wondrous. Half the field can do better. Vettel didnt see him. Had VES been Ricciardo, Alonso, Vettel and many others no issue. VES is not a rookie, although he drives like one. Maybe everyone pulls over to let him through?

Oh yeah a crash that should not have happened. That never happens, right? Unless your Hamilton when its everyone else's fault maybe

Batman: 3. Brundle is wrong. Worn tyres can never shield from brand new softs for 16 laps. Sitting duck.

True, we know more than he does....

Was he supposed to hold him up for 16 laps? He was supposed to hold him up. Every lap that happens is a bonus

I rewatched the Bothas overtake, yeah my bad, he didn't come out of nowhere, he was much closer than when he lunged into Hamilton, my bad.

I rewatched Bothas overtake, sorry he was actually way closer than I thought, my bad.

I just said the way it turned out he had no protection, maybe he felt it was ok to drive into his team mate.

Only Ferrari knows why they didn't pit Kimi.

A fun race. It was processional early on, with upcoming strategies yet to occur.

That was my thoughts at the beginning, I was about to turn off the TV when it seemed like every car was 1.5-2 seconds behind the other and no one was closing and then the pit lane passing started.

Lucky I didn't give up because I still enjoyed the race even though with DRS it still feels like faux motorsport entertainment. At least KERS is gone...

Disgusting taking our super Vettel.

Vestappen ist SHIZER!

Even still Vettel well on top. That final section to win pole position was 90% deutschland brilliance and 10% Ferrari roar.

As long as it doesnt cost him the championship Im pretty relaxed about it.

Very true. They may have had a couple of potential scenarios. He was out of the race, (not out, but pretty much) but he may have had value to be in the way if he had track position by not pitting. Should Vettel win the drivers championship, and thats a big deal to beat Mercedes, I'd say Mercedes would still win Constructors. Mercedes heavily favour Hamillton, but Ferrari don't value Kimi. Kim i keeps Vettel happy, no anger. The guys get on really well, so let him race, and use him. Maybe Ilm wrong but thats how I see it.

I still recall Canada hairpin, before the final straight and start/finish, the grinding of the traction control, as Massa has foot to the floor going round that very slow turn.

Thats not racing, thats removing the driver. And its really wet, so they dont race, thats rubbish. Drive slower. The latest term is sanitising the track.

There are a lot of factors before you even start talking about the driver. Having said all that, I find F1 good right now.

Was the same with Mark Webber and Red Bull Racing. Webber was constantly having to back down even though he was faster because thats what the team called for. The difference is it didnt make Webber happy at all.

Mark was an excellent driver, one of the top few of his time.  He still probably rues the spin at Suzuka, he was in real contention for the title that year. He was competitive, so he wasnt happy, Kimi isnt competitive.

:-) yep. The K is gone, maybe as it now gets energy other than from just kinetic. Exhaust gases etc. 6 seconds to about 33 seconds, its very much alive and well and "weller" than before

Just read the post race interview, Kimi "said" he wasn't unhappy at Vettel's move on him. I would!

Kimi said he was on the Mediums with the strategy to go to the end, but in hindsight he should have put on softs. (And the best chance to put on softs is when you get a free pitstop!)
