Hi

I thought it was time to start one of these. Not sure how many of you are Rugby Fans like me, but I always find discussions interesting.

I was a little surprised to see this posted today, I'll be looking for a backup plan. If Sky make this a Pay to Watch Match I'll be furious.

You know, if you look at the team they picked for the Lions against the Blues, with all due respect to the talent at the Blues, you could well imagine a 50 point hiding being given to the Blues. I am glad I am not out there!

If both teams play to their potential, I expect a pretty healthy contest for 55 minutes then I would expect the Lions should just Overpower the blues, esp up front.

Of course, as we have already seen, that may not be the case.

I recall when Ireland played the Crusaders a few years ago, I expected a close match, but in fact the Crusaders played so badly, I was embarassed. In reality it was simply a case of the pressure put on by a test match side.

Lol what? 50 points on the blues? Name a super side that has put that much on them ever. Won't happen.

In fact I expect the blues to put 10-20+ on the lions

TeaLeaf:3 week links, 3 Barrett brothers, flappn mugs the trio.

Which plays are you talking about? Apart from when Jordie tried to offload in the tackle with three minutes left I can't think of any play where they were worse than the rest, and that was clearly due to the pressure of chasing the game.

I'll put your comments down to the typical uniformed tripe you post.

We will know in less than 7 days.

Meanwhile I'm expecting crotty sbw and Ben Smith to start at fullback, with different wingers. Not sure who will play 10. Though Most likely they will keep the same 10 and 15 and ben in wing which is not my preference. Yes I'm coaching for one night only. And if the rules allow Hansen to come on at 89 mins.

And another TMO howler (IMO). Blues try disallowed.

If the ball comes out of Akira Ioane’s hands backwards, Akira continues his momentum and Reiko Ioane catches the ball behind a line where Akira is, how can it be deemed a forward pass? Unless of course Akira accelerated, which is unlikely because he was copping a ‘no-arms’ tackle at that moment. I would have thought basic physics would have come into play. Apparently not a requirement for TMOs.

That's a reasonable team. Still feel like they are underpowered in the loosies, with no real enforcer there and no noted ball runners to assist Ardie in carting it up the guts. I fear a similar result to last weekends game if not a squeaky win to the AB's.

Watching TJP use his last opportunity to lead the Haka to make a political statement, and watching Scott Robertson vape in the coaches box were both kinda gross (Can't you seriously go a couple of hours?).

You must've really hated the photo op at the end and the interview with Scott Barrett when he mentioned the team were all behind it.
