kingdragonfly: I'm about to break Godwin's law, but all posters in this forum were already given permission a long time ago.
I'm sure Trump has done some good things, but so has Adolf Hitler.
Adolf gets credit for the creation of the Volkswagen Beetle. He also motivated Jews to establish Israel.
Much like Trump's love of the coveted Time magazine cover, Adolph was on Time magazine's covers several time including.Time's man of the year in 1939.
Adolf Hitler loved his mother.
Both Trump and Adolf Hitler were called for war time duty, before becoming leaders. Unlike Trump, who has hid from duty by bribing a doctor, Adolf Hitler actually served his country.
Where Trump had to hire a ghost writer to pen his book, Hitler actually wrote his own.
Trump has lived with a silver spoon in his mouth his entire life, and either handed success on a golden platter by his father gifts, or gained it with misappropriation, usually by means of abusing the legal system. While Adolf spent some time as a starving artist.
Hitler was reportedly a teetotaler, nonsmoker, and vegetarian.
Hitler and his partner also chose suicide rather than capture. If Trump was in the same position he would shoot Melania so he could steal her clothes to use as a disguise to escape and if he was caught he would blame the murder on his son.

Which would later become a movie and give origins to lots of Downfall-like memes.

frednz: Well, there's plenty of positive achievements as set out in the State of the Union address. We all know that the whole thing is completely along party lines and so there's heaps of Democrats who are feeling very sore that they couldn't convict him. Oh well, so much for sitting in the middle, you're either all for the man or all against him. There aint no middle ground to this whole saga!
There was never any doubt that there was even the remotest possibility that Trump would get convicted. Still doesn't mean that lawless behaviour should go unpunished.
I'm still interested in *any* positive achievements that genuinely impact the whole country. Most economic factors have followed the same trajectory that Obama setup with the exception of the ballooning of the national debt due to the tax cuts.
I can't see partisan judges being appointed anything than favouring those already in power.
So would love to know an actual fact (one that can't be easily disproved) of a positive thing Trump has done that hasn't been in his own self interest.

sir1963:SJB:After seeing Trump crowing on TV about his acquittal by the GOP it's obvious he doesn't know that the only thing people dislike more than a bad loser is a bad winner.
Trump is too stupid to realise
Acquittal does not equal not guilty
Acquittal does not equal innocent
and no matter what he says or does, he is still Impeached.
John Bolton. Steve is someone else.

I despise Trump heart and soul, but I have to wonder if he actually is entitled to any credit for the current economy in America. Is this just a spill-over from Obama, a result of external factors having nothing to do with the presidency, or has anything Trump has done actually contributed to it?

Have a look at Fox News occasionally, the positive side of Trump is often highlighted, such as:
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-will-proposes-big
President Trump is seeking billions of dollars in new funding for NASA aimed at returning astronauts to the moon within four years, according to administration officials. Trump will propose a 12 percent budget increase for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration when he releases his spending plan next week. The boost includes funding to develop human landers, Fox News has confirmed. No one has been to the moon since 1972 under NASA’s now-shuttered Apollo program. But since taking office, Trump has made space exploration a top priority, and his administration has set a target of 2024 for the next lunar landing.
I've never seen a positive word about Trump on CNN (or on this forum either for that matter)! Are you all Democrat supporters?

I guess if not supporting someone and his Republican party who seem to be deeply in bed with Nazi people, racists and bigots is the way to be a good decent human.
