Another group of MAGA supporters have responded to the report with the most conspicuous response of all: silence. Chief among the newly silent crowd is MAGA-media-personality-turned-Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, who entered the government vowing to get to the bottom of the many theories about Epstein that he once pushed, only to clam up since the report dropped. Bongino is now caught between his loyalty to Trump and his long-stated beliefs about the case, and he’s gone AWOL in response: According to a report from Axios, he didn’t show up to work on Friday, and CNN reported on Monday that Bongino has “excommunicated himself from most of his colleagues after a major fallout with Attorney General Pam Bondi.”

The bottom three aren't really tied in with the Epstein report, but they're not exactly what I would describe as "hands clean", either.

Yet Another Republican Arrested for Child Sexual Abuse

Fort Pierce City, FL Commissioner James Taylor, 38, has been arrested and charged with 24 felony counts following a multistate investigation into internet crimes against children.


The charges against the Republican politician, James Taylor, are related to a case that originated in Illinois in August 2024, when a local police department received a report from the mother of a 13-year-old girl.


The mother alleged that her daughter, who was only 12 years old at the time, had been contacted by a man via Snapchat. Over time, the conversations reportedly became sexually explicit, and the suspect allegedly sent multiple nude images to the minor. Illinois detectives traced the suspect’s online activity to St. Lucie County, Florida.


In May 2025, they contacted the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and after reviewing the digital evidence, it was James Taylor harassing the minor.


Taylor now faces 24 felony charges, including six counts each of transmission of materials harmful to minors by electronic equipment, transfer or display of obscenity to a minor, harmful communication to a minor, and lewd computer solicitation. He also faces four counts of lewd computer solicitation of a child and two counts of solicitation of transmission of child pornography.


Taylor is currently in custody at the St. Lucie County Jail, and his bond has been set at $250,000.

Finally he's in prison but (shock! horror!) finding life behind bars a lot more difficult than life behind his keyboard:

Judge Christopher Harding asked Sivell, who represented himself, what he wanted to say about his offences before being sentenced.

Sivell said he wanted “the whole matter over” and to be allowed to go home.

“I’m horrified that I’m in prison. I never thought I would end up in prison. It’s a terrifying experience.”

Wow! This goes beyond just being deplorable but I don't know where else to put it. 

I have just experienced full-blown batshit crazy total schitzoid insanity! Never seen anything like it. This is the web site of Invercargill Mayoral candidate Gordon McCrone. 

I was put on to this by RNZ, who said in typical fashion this is horrendous so we won’t let you see it. Sorry, but I would like to be the judge of that for myself so I went looking for the site. It is pretty obscure and it took a bit of searching but it wasn’t too hard to find.

RNZ is right. It is truly horrendous. But mostly it is just crazy. Really really crazy. I once had a friend who is bipolar and this somewhat reminded me of that. Mostly, I was really impressed by the amount of energy and dedication that must have gone into producing this insanity. It goes on forever but it is not like Donald Trump insanity. It actually has a kind of crazy coherence as it leaps from item to item. Whatever, it is the product of a lot of deranged stream of consciousness effort.

I am not recommending anyone actually view this but it is certainly fascinating if you have the stomach for it. I get annoyed when a prissy media organisation like RNZ, but also most other NZ media, do the self-appointed censorship thing and sniffily announce that THEY can handle this but they have decided in their vastly superior wisdom that the poor viewer can’t so they won’t tell you how to find it. That creates something of a quandary for me because I’m not going to link to this either. But if anyone wants to know more about the potentially next mayor of Invercargill, it isn’t too hard for a typical Geekzone user to find. NOT recommended for the easily influenced!
