freitasm:Funny how they want to reopen things but there's a couple in there with masks... They want open but they are afraid of it.
Maybe as proof of their patriotism they should be required to cough and sneeze on each other.

TRUMP SAYS THE THREE WORDS HE HATES MOST ARE 'WORLD', 'HEALTH', AND 'ORGANIZATION'
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—At Tuesday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, Donald J. Trump said that, of all the many, many words he knows, he detests these three the most.
“I hate 'World' because the world's a horrible place full of horrible people. The world is a disgrace.”
“The second word I hate most is 'Health',” he said. “For the past two months, all I’ve been hearing about is health this, health that. I wish health would just disappear. We’re working hard to make that happen.”
“Last but not least is 'Organization',” he said. “Everyone knows how much I despise organization, but all of a sudden, governors are coming to me and asking me to organize everything. Well, it’s not gonna happen. For years before I got here, there was organization at the White House, and no one did anything about it. That's gonna change. Now that I’m President, the federal government is no longer in the organizing business.”
Trump crowned? No faux King way!
neb: Direct replies to the Bill Gates appeal .
I know this is invoking Poe's law, "without a clear indicator of the author's intent, it is impossible to create a parody of extreme views so obviously exaggerated that it cannot be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of the views being parodied", but are those real or trolls?
kingdragonfly: President Trump is tied up in knots trying to project power over the states while admitting at his Tuesday briefing that the decisions on when to restart state economies will be made by the governors.
That's actually a bad thing for two reasons, firstly it'd be instructive for him to precipitate a constitutional crisis, but more importantly it gives him yet another scapegoat to blame for his failings. After the WHO, I can see the governors being next in line.
Fred99:
Posted below a tweet from Bill Gates, where he's 100% correct.
Read the replies - and weep for America:
After reading that vomit on Twitter I can see why the likes of Trump got to be president and why America is #1 (in total covid deaths). People this farking dumb actually are allowed to vote?

That's the downside to democracy, every idiot can vote. It's usually mitigated by the fact that people like that are in the minority, but the US seems to be unusually gifted with them - was it Lange who called the US "the world's largest free-range lunatic asylum"? Sounds like his style of political wit.
If you haven't seen it, this documentary on US voters is informative.
I try to avoid hearing Trump’s awful, disembodied droning voice as much as possible, but it’s hard to completely screen out. One thing that strikes me about his presentation is that when he wants to say something is behemothic, or pulchritudinous, or transcendentally meritorious, he can’t find the words he wants because he is basically a semi-literate insensate dolt. So he flounders around with the two or three words he knows, like ‘big’, ‘smart’, ‘best’, and lamely vacillates between them, mindlessly repeating them as he struggles to find something better, then gives up and just says them again, as in, ‘this hamberder is really … um, good, um, del…, um, scr-scr-scr …, um, good, it is good. This hamberder is really good. It is the goodest good ever! No hamberder is gooder than this!’
Dear Donald, if you could understand these words you would know you are an imbecilic atavistic puerile callow inane witless simian troglodyte.

Heard him talking on the White House update this morning. He can't even read properly. Also stupid assertions like "One person is too many. The peak is behind us", "Our early and aggressive action" and "These actions will be remembered and praised for years to come".
He didn't say anything about numbers and then called Pence, who had the job of saying "more than 31,000 deaths". So obviously Trump doesn't want to be the one saying it.

Now up to 34,609 at last count. Go America! You're number one!

That is why the Emperor now has no clothes because he took them off and gave them to the Governors, that way he can now say they stole them and got them all dirty and torn. He can now go ahead and steal a new gold trimmed set off the restarted spluttering economy using the money the Republican congress approved for his billionaire/millionaire friends. Leaving the destroyed set to the 22 million unemployed.
Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
