Okay, I know that President Trump’s worst week ever has been designated a couple of times already. ...
But this week could actually be his worst ever.
With new unemployment data out Friday, it ends on something he can’t spin - actual numbers about just how bad this pandemic and its economic fallout are.
They are terrible numbers for any president to see on his watch:
- A 14.7 percent unemployment rate, the highest since the Great Depression almost a century ago
- 33 million people filing for unemployment since this crisis hit the United States
- As of this week, more than 75,000 Americans have died from coronavirus with no nationwide dip in cases. (Trump predicted weeks ago that the number would stop at 50,000, then Sunday suggested it might stop at 75,000 or 100,000.)
Now the big question for Trump: Will Americans blame him for any of this? ...
