Oh my GOD. Another day, another suggested "Independent Panel" taskforce by Jacinda, this time as an effort to unlock the pay dispute between DHB's and Nurses.

Also, I wish that every time she wanted to emphasize a syllable, she didn't do so whilst goosing her neck. It's majorly distracting.

And then she advocates for more collective bargaining. Is the government going to set up an inquiry for every industrial dispute?

Well, to be fair they have set one up for almost every other little thing.

At least that way she need not make a decision.

She is paid to be a leader and to make decisions. Even with a whole cabinet around her and many Government Depts they can still NOT make decisions.

It's true. Democracy gives votes to idiots. What can I say?

We have a strange electoral system lifted from Germany but without the German rule that says the largest party must form the government. Thus an unelected List eejit decided the whole outcome himself. Et voila!

Ardern won't commit (Surprise surprise) on nurses being underpaid. Seems she is only able to "commit" to a stance when she is in opposition!

To be fair while this is under negotiation it is prudent for her to stay at arms length and allow the various party's to get on with the process

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

But she hasn't really stayed at arms length, she has commented on it, just won't about pay.

Yesterday she urged DHB's to find a solution, any solution. She didn't urge the two parties to work together.

2% wouldn't really even cover cost of living increases since the last increase.

Teachers are also after a payrise. Labour has it's work cut out for it. They were so critical of National for not paying enough in various verticals, but it's different when you need to find the money yourself and still keep the budget intact.

if the minimum wage is the minimum, then where, in her opinion should Nurses pay be in comparison? If she thinks she has the moral authority to draw a line in the sand for anyone, they should be able to draw a line in the sand for all.

Why did Claire Curran not come forward and straighten out the claim that it wasn't a coincidence? Transparency in the Labour Government? I'd like some evidence to support any so far.

What did they discuss? The meeting wasn't minuted I'd bet and given Hirschfield lied already, and the main reason likely being they were discussing things which they didn't want made apparent to others in their respective groups, there is reason to be concerned, in my view.

Curran came out and said it was a mistake. How much more of this is going to continue to happen. JA needs to get her cabinet ministers together and explain how to behave. This is the same thing that Labour spent all their time critical of National for.

I am wondering if the reason JA doesn't get her staff sorted out, is because a) she doesn't know what the correct standard of behaviour is herself b) She doesn't feel confident confronting them c) she doesn't consider it a "real" problem.

Labours latest bit of Subterfuge is just more fuel on the fire that our national Radio Station RNZ is a Red Biased Media Outlet.

It's been a rough patch for Labour and I can't see it getting better anytime soon. I think the stardust has well and truly settled.
