Paul1977:

Batman: Apparently Georgia hand recount is finding votes for Trump.

Their vote counting system is a bit stuffed.

I can't see Trump stopping his fight

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/us-election-georgia-error-nearly-gave-joe-biden-9600-extra-votes/LVBCFVQUZVMQBYWRHLNAGQZEEE/

If true, finds like that are problematic. Even if they aren't enough to impact the outcome, it can be enough to say "well if it happened here, who's to say it didn't happen elsewhere?".

However you just can't get past the fact that, if there was widespread fraud, why did the Dems lose seats in the house and why didn't they take the senate? You're not going to rig an election that gives you the presidency but limits the president's power.

This is a point that needs to be mentioned a lot more.

No doubt there will be widespread counting errors but partly because US is such a vast county.

But I don't think there is cynical premeditated fraud but it doesn't look good and the theories will live and spread with every vote error they find.

Not really. As mayor of NYC he was seen as a somewhat authoritarian git. He got some grudging respect for his handling of 9/11, but then almost anyone would have.

WhiteHouse Press Secretary busted by delivery driver

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

WH Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tells Fox News that Trump is "hard at work" before a delivery driver completely undermines her.

For Trump:
  • 10 maximum decibels television
  • three crates of congealed chicken fingers
  • a Muumuu that says "Vacation Mode"
For Rudy Giuliani

The Washington Post - Hand recount confirms Biden’s lead in Georgia, according to secretary of state

breaking

After a hand recount of roughly 5 million votes cast in the presidential election, Georgia election officials confirmed Biden received more votes than Trump in the state.

Georgia’s [Republican] secretary of state ordered the recount as a part of the risk-limiting audit process to ensure the public’s trust in the outcome of the presidential vote in the state, where Biden led by 12,284 votes, according to the audited results.

That resulted in a 0.0099 percent variation from the original margin, they said.

The secretary of state is set to certify the results Friday. Trump may request a machine recount of the audited ballots by as late as Tuesday evening.

If you think this election has been characterized by Chump and his supporters terrible behaviour read this article. It's happened more than once before

https://worldhistory.us/american-history/presidential-history/inaugural-absences.php

And in those days the country was much smaller so the impact may have been relatively greater.

There is a sad parallel here with the 1912 book / 1971 film classic Death in Venice.

The tragic anti-hero, an ageing man, takes a trip to Venice, where there is a cholera epidemic.

Local authorities adamantly deny that the contagion is serious and tourists continue to wander round the city.

He begins to fret about his aging face and body. In an attempt to look more attractive, he has his hair dyed.

Freshly dyed, he walks through Venice in the oppressive heat, with dye streaming down his sweating face. ...

Then he dies.

Dark.

Also more likely than not these widespread accidental miscountings have existed since the first election, with or without technology!

In my opinion, given Trumps psychiatric profile and track record, the following was completely predictable ...

Trump is a real and present danger to democracy.

The Washington Post - Trump uses power of presidency to try to overturn the election and stay in office

today

President Trump is using the power of his office to try to reverse the results of the election, orchestrating a far-reaching pressure campaign to persuade Republican officials in Michigan, Georgia and elsewhere to overturn the will of voters in what critics decried Thursday as an unprecedented subversion of democracy.

After courts rejected the Trump campaign’s baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud, the president is now trying to remain in power with a wholesale assault on the integrity of the vote by spreading misinformation and trying to persuade loyal Republicans to manipulate the electoral system on his behalf.

In an extraordinary news conference Thursday at the Republican National Committee headquarters, Trump’s attorneys claimed without evidence there was a centralized conspiracy with roots in Venezuela to rig the U.S. presidential election.

They alleged voter fraud in Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and other cities whose municipal governments are controlled by Democrats and where President-elect Joe Biden won by large margins. ...

Election law experts said the clock is ticking on Trump, as states will soon certify their results.

I am laughing so hard... First Rudy's leaking head (or hair dye). Then Trump's live channel was broadcasting the meeting and left the Zoom credentials on the screen for a while -  lots of people joined and unmuted themselves commenting on the whole thing.

What a comedy of errors. Trump surrounds himself with clowns and fools. He's an idiot.

He's making the elections a joke:
