Rikkitic:

Are the rioters under arrest being charged with federal crimes? I would assume so since the crimes were committed on federal property in the District of Columbia, so no State jurisdiction. Does that mean that Trump can suddenly pardon them all while he is still technically president? Is there anything to be done about that?

Interesting question , I would doubt they would allow that to happen.

I hope they get plenty of prison time though.

sure he can (i think), but that would look really weird don't you think? ->

step 1 - tell them to storm the capitol

step 2 - watch and celebrate

step 3 - condemn the acts and to face full force of the law

step 4 - pardon everybody and say i was joking

I don't think Trump cares how anything looks. He wants to give everyone the fingers as he goes. This would be a good way to do it.

Agreed.

Trump is a 10-year-old schoolyard bully, with an ego the size of a planet.

Nobody has ever said "no" to him.

He wants to kick down the other kids' sandcastle before he runs away.

Pure malice.

From Apple:

"If my app is removed, will current users be able to access my app?

Yes. Your app will remain fully functional for current users. They will experience no interruption to services and will still be able to buy in-app purchases.

However, we recommend that you update your app as soon as possible to reinstate it on the App Store and ensure that it remains functional and engaging for new and existing customers."

saw some screenshots of the posts on Parler, and man, it's really twisted - right up there with lizard people

freitasm: Seriously folks. The President of the United States is the biggest joke of the decade.

Just think about it.

Im sure there are past Presidents that were quite ineffective. Lack lustre. Poor. If you look at Trump as of he was just a regular Joe, what an idiot. Probably punch him out. Yet he was the leader of the free world, the largest economy and military power on Earth. Forget the endless supply of adjectives, shame on you.

Decade???  Yeah I know what you mean, but its just shameful and using and selfish to put it mildly. What saddens me are the losers that bow to him, then some decide that he has gone too far. They need people who want to improve their country. I still cant get what I watched of Cruz today.

You would expect criminal investigators to be hush-hush until they've actually laid charges.

As you correctly pointed out, DC is not a state. All felonies committed in DC are federal crimes.

There may be a small subset of misdemeanors, like traffic tickets, which are considered local crimes.

In bad news, federal prisons are nicer than state and local prisons. Federal judges are also considered more worldly, tend to have "boys will be boys" attitudes.

Mixed blessing: Republicans have been aggressively appointing conservative judges, which may be more sympathetic to whites (and give lesser sentences for white collar crimes). However they are more likely to give maximum sentences for violent crimes.

In great news, these idiots have posted great evidence publicly of their crimes. Also federal crimes have much worse sentences than their equivalent state and local crimes.

And we all know that any crime in the US has worse sentences than most countries, except the middle East.

I'd expect some 8 to 25 year sentences. If a traitor is fully cooperative, pleads guilty early on condition he gives evidence against his buddies, I'd expect an 1.5 year sentence. I'd expect 15 years to be the average. I'd expect 15 to 25 years for the idiot in Nancy Pelosi's office.

Anyone the FBI has posted a picture of, is screwed. And they're posted a lot of "who are they" pictures.

As for the ring leaders from the "T" gang, we'll have to wait and see.

Man with all his accounts being banned he must be going out of his mind, I can imagine him pacing around in whatever room he watches his TV in shouting at it. I hope some sort of stop is put to his power to do anything more.

This is Geekzone. Infrequently people get banned. Small-ish community in a VERY small country. How many leaders (Prime Minister/President/Ruler) have been banned?  When was the last time that UK dealt with a coup? Any first world country?  He's not a bad or average or rubbish leader, he is an anomaly that has been quickly despatched.  Im expecting and hoping that the US of A will justify this "anomaly" by way of The Supreme Court in near course.

Can or would the TV stations ban him from addressing the nation as well ??

Does he have authority to just cut in on broadcast channels or do they have their own emergency one ??

Im sure ANY TV channel would be happy to air his speech. Public airing of a failure in life.
