Georgia's a toss-up.

Trump certainly made more enemies than if he didn't urge fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat.

Those five states are just embarrassments.

If they were people,

Alabama: the Bible-thumping fundamentalist aunt who wears too much makeup and keeps flirting with cute relatives.
Arizona would be the uncle who's the anti-union, anti-environment oil baron.
Georgia: the unpredictable aunt with Dissociative identity disorder, who talks to God directly during dinner.
North Carolina: Ned Flanders
Idaho: libertarian cousin, who thinks Democrat lizard people eat babies.

I remember reading somewhere that he had engaged with some law firm recently that was fairly large (from memory he was using this guy: https://www.binnall.com/our-team/jesse-r-binnall/ ), but I guess he didn't pay them (as usual) so they stopped offering their services to him.

We all know that Democrats are above reproach. Except those named Manchin, of course, particularly one named 'Joe', who is currently being wooed by Mitch 'Darth' McConnell to switch to the Dark Side.

Former US President Donald Trump asked the US Supreme Court on Thursday to block the release of White House records sought by the House of Representatives committee investigating the deadly 6 January attack on the Capitol.

Trump's request came two weeks after the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled that the former president had no basis to challenge Democratic President Joe Biden's decision to allow the documents to be handed over.

That decision will remain on hold until the Supreme Court acts.

Biden had previously determined that the records, which belong to the executive branch, should not be subject to executive privilege, which protects the confidentially of some internal White House communications, and that turning them over to Congress was in the best interests of the nation.

Trump's lawyers said in their court filing that the House Select Committee's request is "exceedingly broad" and an "unprecedented encroachment on executive privilege." ...

The first amendment to the US Constitution states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

An August 15, 1789, an entry in founding father Madison's papers said "Congress should not establish a religion, and enforce the legal observation of it by law, nor compel men to worship God in any manner contrary to their conscience. ..."

So yeah. A political rally / religious service is what many founding fathers feared.

Before Donald Trump had spoken a word Sunday, Dec. 19, at First Baptist Dallas it would’ve been understandable if those in attendance had trouble remembering the “reason for the season.” Jesus was celebrated, yes. But the entire Christmas service was built around Trump’s advent: lines wrapped around the building starting 3 hours before the event; security screening for everyone in the main sanctuary; Trump’s smiling face on every program. The former President was introduced or acknowledged four separate times during the service, each one to thunderous applause.

Senior Pastor Robert Jeffress, frequent Fox News guest and longtime Trump advocate, gushed with adulation for his “good friend,” a friendship he proudly counted as “one of the greatest privileges of my life.” He twice called President Trump “the most pro-life, pro-religious liberty, pro-Israel President in the history of our great country” and dubbed him “the most consequential President since Abraham Lincoln.” Trump even found his way into Jeffress’s sermon as an analogy for God himself. When Jeffress wanted to illustrate what it meant for God to pardon sin through Christ, he recalled Trump pardoning Alice Johnson in the Oval Office.

And finally, there was in Jeffress’s own words, “the climax of the service,” Trump’s “Christmas Greeting” that turned into a MAGA rally. The delivery and content were classic Trump, alternating between off-the-cuff rambling about the nation’s dystopic situation and remarks about Christmas that he confessed were written for him. He concluded with his signature “Make America Great Again” sign off and even began a chant for “USA! USA!”

Neb, I'm not sure if you're being serious, because of Poe's Law.
