Randy Rainbow mocking Marjorie Taylor Greene. She a US representative in Congress, and also represents way too many Americans.

She recently said she doesn't believe all of Qanon.

I presume she still believes the theory of Jewish space lasers causing California wild fires.

Mentioned by Randy Rainbow, "OnlyFans" for clips and photos to followers for a monthly subscription fee. But it's mostly soft-core porn. I

Trump followed up observation with "I need to know who to grab by the pussy"...

Fox "news": Trump: 'How on earth' can Judge Jackson say what the Constitution is if she can't say what a woman is

Former President Donald Trump blasted Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson over her inability to provide the definition of a woman during her confirmation hearing this week.

"The left has become so extreme that we now have a justice being nominated to the Supreme Court who testified under oath that she could not say what a woman is," Trump told the crowd at a Save America rally in Commerce, Georgia on Saturday night. "If she can't even say what a woman is. How on earth can she be trusted to say what the Constitution is?"

Jackson was sharply criticized after she couldn’t define the word "woman" during her Senate Judiciary confirmation hearings Tuesday night.

Senator Marsha Blackburn, Republican [from the Bible-thumper state] of Tennessee, brought up transgender issues in her questioning and asked Jackson, "Can you provide a definition for the word ‘woman?’"

"Can I provide a definition? No, I can’t," the judge responded before further explaining, "Not in this context, I'm not a biologist."

"Do you believe the meaning of the word woman is so unclear and controversial that you can't give me a definition?" Blackburn pressed.

"Senator, in my work as a judge, what I do is I address disputes. If there's a dispute about a definition, people make arguments, and I look at the law, and I decide," Jackson responded

Did Amy what's-her-face have to go through all this bs when she was confirmed in 2020 as well? Or did she just walk on in, flash a pretty smile at Trump, and get the job?

I'd say Effing-A to the latter. I mean, if a surly lush like Kavanaugh could get the big tick, she would've been a sitter.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Radio NZ - Trump likely committed felony with plan to obstruct Congress, US judge rules

breaking

A US judge ruled on Monday that former President Donald Trump "more likely than not" committed a felony by trying to pressure his vice president to obstruct Congress and overturn his election defeat on 6 January 2021.

The assertion was in a ruling that found the House of Representatives committee probing the deadly attack on the US Capitol has a right to see emails written to Trump by one of his then-lawyers, John Eastman.

The judge said that Trump's plan to overturn his defeat amounted to a "coup."

"The Court finds it more likely than not that President Trump corruptly attempted to obstruct the Joint Session of Congress on January 6, 2021," US District Judge David Carter in Los Angeles said in a written decision. ...

Carter has no power to bring criminal charges against Trump. That decision would need to be made by US Attorney General Merrick Garland, for violations of federal law.

The Washington Post - Opinion: A federal judge finally says it: Trump probably committed crimes related to Jan. 6

today

On its face, the ruling that California District Court Judge David O. Carter issued on Monday might appear unexceptional: He rejected Donald Trump lawyer John Eastman’s claims of attorney-client privilege, requiring him to provide documents to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.

But the ruling is so much more than that. It represents the first time a federal court has found that the defeated former president likely committed multiple felonies.

Carter’s argument is compelling:

The plan not only lacked factual basis but also legal justification. Dr. Eastman’s memo ... declared Dr. Eastman’s intent to step outside the bounds of normal legal practice: “we’re no longer playing by Queensbury Rules.”

In addition, Vice President Pence “very consistently” made clear to President Trump that the plan was unlawful, refusing “many times” to unilaterally reject electors or return them to the states. ...

Disagreeing with the law entitled President Trump to seek a remedy in court, not to disrupt a constitutionally-mandated process.

And President Trump knew how to pursue election claims in court - after filing and losing more than sixty suits, this plan was a last-ditch attempt to secure the Presidency by any means.

The illegality of the plan was obvious. Our nation was founded on the peaceful transition of power, epitomized by George Washington laying down his sword to make way for democratic elections.

Ignoring this history, President Trump vigorously campaigned for the Vice President to single-handedly determine the results of the 2020 election. ...

Every American - and certainly the President of the United States - knows that in a democracy, leaders are elected, not installed. With a plan this “BOLD,” President Trump knowingly tried to subvert this fundamental principle. ...

Carter wraps up with this damning conclusion:

Dr. Eastman and President Trump launched a campaign to overturn a democratic election, an action unprecedented in American history.

Their campaign was not confined to the ivory tower - it was a coup in search of a legal theory. ...

More than a year after the attack on our Capitol, the public is still searching for accountability. This case cannot provide it. The Court is tasked only with deciding a dispute over a handful of emails.

This is not a criminal prosecution; this is not even a civil liability suit. At most, this case is a warning about the dangers of “legal theories” gone wrong, the powerful abusing public platforms, and desperation to win at all costs.

If Dr. Eastman and President Trump’s plan had worked, it would have permanently ended the peaceful transition of power, undermining American democracy and the Constitution.

If the country does not commit to investigating and pursuing accountability for those responsible, the Court fears January 6 will repeat itself.

Trump might be (finally) starting to lose his grip on the Republican Party. We can only hope.

“Every hero becomes a bore at last,” wrote Ralph Waldo Emerson — and he might have added that they become a phony, as well. - very true! I think eventually voters will get bored with Trump and move on as well.

Donald Trump just released the most Donald Trump statement ever - The Washington Post

I expected the intro: the bespoke logo touting that it came from “The Office of Donald J. Trump” with a simplified version of the presidential seal in the middle. And I expected the title, since it’s always the same title: “Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America.”

And then poetry.

“Many people are asking, so I’ll give it to you now, it is 100% true,” the message began. “While playing with the legendary golfer, Ernie Els, winner of four Majors and approximately 72 other tournaments throughout the world, Gene Sauers, winner of the Senior U.S. Open, Ken Duke, and Mike Goodes, both excellent tour players, I made a hole-in-one.”

That’s what the message is about. Trump’s hole-in-one.

I suspect that L’Affaire Will Smith is a secondary subject indeed.

“Anyway, there’s a lot of chatter about it, quite exciting, and people everywhere seem to be asking for the facts,” Trump’s statement continued. “Playing with that group of wonderful, talented players was a lot of fun. The match was Ernie and me (with no strokes) against Gene, Mike, and Ken. I won’t tell you who won because I am a very modest individual, and you will then say I was bragging—and I don’t like people who brag!”

Odds of making a hole

"The odds of making a hole in one are 12,500 to 1.

...If your event has 100 amateur participants and the golf course has four par 3 holes, the odds of a player making a Hole In One are 1 in 32.

The odds of getting a hole in one no longer seems impossible, does it?"

Forbes: Judge Rules Trump Organization Must Comply With Subpoena By Next Month

The ruling from A New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron said the Trump Organization must provide a substantial amount of documents to the AG by April 15 and fully comply with the subpoena by April 29.

The Attorney General's office is seeking electronic records from the Trump Organization as part of a probe into whether the company fraudulently misvalued properties.

The judge ordered a Republican-tied outside firm the Trump Organization hired to identify and turn over record... It's unclear at this point how close the Trump Organization has come to complying with the subpoena.

I also think Clarence (not Carter) should have recused himself from the January 6 legal requests as well. But what happens then? Does a backup judge step in, or do they go with 8 and work it out that way? What if it's 4-4?

The Independent: Home of Republican who crafted Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill is destroyed by tornado

The home of the Republican lawmaker who crafted Florida’s widely condemned ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill has been badly damaged by a tornado, according to reports.

Joe Harding, whose bill was approved by the state’s legislature this month despite widespread criticism, had his home in central Florida ravaged by 110mph winds last weekend.

He told Florida Politics that while he was away, his family was at home on Saturday morning when the twister struck.

The Washington Post - Jan. 6 White House logs given to House show 7-hour gap in Trump calls

today

The House select committee is now investigating whether it has the full record and whether Trump communicated that day through backchannels, phones of aides or personal disposable phones, according to people familiar with the probe.

Internal White House records from the day of the attack on the U.S. Capitol that were turned over to the House select committee show a gap in President Donald Trump’s phone logs of seven hours and 37 minutes, including the period when the building was being violently assaulted, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post and CBS News.

The lack of an official White House notation of any calls placed to or by Trump for 457 minutes on Jan. 6, 2021 – from 11:17 a.m. to 6:54 p.m. – means the committee has no record of his phone conversations as his supporters descended on the Capitol, battled overwhelmed police and forcibly entered the building, prompting lawmakers and Vice President Mike Pence to flee for safety.
