The Trumps defense of being feckless idiots is not as stupid as it may seem.

Having lived through a few recessions, and the inevitble calls for accountability on fall of supposedly sucessful companies.
Whie Directors and Boardroom floated away on golden parachutes to do better and greater things.
Contractors lose tools and capability to work, along with materials and struggling with burden of banruptcy.

CEO and Boardroom defense of being stupid and feckless has been a prime defense and very sucessful.

As mentioned, usually judges have informal discussions around scheduling when there's a potential time conflict.

But other judges have snubbed Florida judge Cannon, because they expected she either

a deluded sycophanth
under the Dunning–Kruger effect

The federal judge overseeing Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago document-mishandling case cast doubt on the viability having a trial in May 2024, signaling she may postpone the criminal proceedings.

During a hearing Wednesday in south Florida, US District Judge Aileen Cannon raised concerns that the defense team wouldn’t be able to complete trial preparations between now and the spring as they handle other cases for Trump and a stacked trial schedule.

“I’m having a hard time seeing how this work can be accomplished realistically in this period of time,” Cannon said.

Cannon told Justice Department prosecutor Jay Bratt, who asked to keep the trial schedule as is: “I’m not seeing in your position a level of understanding to these realities.”

Cannon did not issue a ruling in court on Wednesday.

Can this be overturned by the 'Appellate' court??

Also hasn't the 'Appellate' court overturned previous rulings by her ??

How can she be recused from her judgeship position in this case ?? or even permanently as a judge or is it for life ?? (I mean, as said above, she really does come under the Dunning–Kruger effect in these cases.)

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Note: all involved, from Trump downwards, are already been found guiltyy . Only the amount of damages has to be determined.

Some of Trump’s business licenses are rescinded as punishment, making it difficult or impossible for them to do business in New York, where most of his assets exist.

There a potential for hundreds of millions in penalties, and "fire sale" of Trump's extensive New York assets.

It will also have the effect of making Trump's sons broke, à la Mike Lindell. No more nose candy for Donald Trump Jr. and no more big game animal hunting for the pair.

Andrew Amer, of the attorney general’s team, spent hours today reviewing communications from 2012 and 2013, periods that are both outside the statute of limitations. There appear to be two reasons why.

First, he wanted to establish that before the statute of limitations began to run, Eric Trump well understood that his dad had statements of financial condition; that those statements were occasionally shared with third parties in connection with financings and acquisitions; and, perhaps most importantly, that Trump Org. VP Jeff McConney sought and obtained information from him personally for use in valuing assets in those statements.

Second, and just as significantly, Eric’s representations to the contrary at his deposition highlight how deep his credibility issues go. Without calling him a liar or asking expressly if he wanted to correct his testimony, Amer got Eric to concede today, in essence, that his unambiguous, confident declarations of zero knowledge of or involvement in the statements were, at best, based on a very faulty memory and at worst, constituted deliberate falsehoods.

Both were important objectives for the Attorney General, and Amer was a study in how not to lose one’s cool as a lawyer when confronted with a testy, evasive witness.

Eric Trump, one of two sons entrusted to run Donald Trump’s real estate empire, swore Thursday that he was never involved with financial statements that New York state lawyers say fraudulently puffed up the ex-president’s wealth and the worth of the family business.

But when shown a decade-old email asking him for information for one of his dad’s financial statements, the irritated son strove to clarify.

“We’re a major organization, a massive real estate organization — yes, I’m fairly sure I understand that we have financial statements. Absolutely,” Eric Trump testified at the family’s and company’s civil fraud trial. But the Trump Organization executive vice president insisted: “I had no involvement and never worked on my father’s statement of financial condition.”

Though another Trump Organization executive has testified that Eric Trump was on a video call about his father’s financial statement as recently as 2021, the son said he couldn’t remember it.

“I’m on a thousand calls a day,” he said.

In another message, McConney said he was “working on the notes to Mr. Trump’s annual financial statement” and asked Eric Trump and others for an update on recent major construction work.

In Manhattan court, Don Jr couldn’t remember much about the company he works for – and brother Eric had trouble, too ...

Observers were not impressed. Andrew Weissmann, a former federal prosecutor, said: “Don Jr and Eric Trump’s ‘defense’ ... appears so far to be that they were derelict in their duties as executives and trustees.”

The main show is yet to come. Donald Trump and his oldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, are due to testify next.

But even if the Trump boys were just a warm-up, they put on a masterclass of reliably unreliable recall.
