Trump and Elon were always proclaim victory no matter how much they fail.

It should continue until they get bored with DOGE, and demand Big Boot's release.

SaltyNZ:

Ge0rge:

I'd absolutely love to see Canada turn off their oil and electricity to the US. I wonder who would blink first?

Plenty of other countries wanting oil & gas although turning it off overnight, as it were, is probably not possible - there will be futures contracts already bought & paid for that must be honoured.

In the same way that Trump honours trade agreements and treaties?

Hmm, you mean like Putin?  Similar in so many ways

As a developer he bulldozed over people, leaving unpaid workers in his wake and his 6 bankruptcies.

The Guardian - Trump reportedly charging millions for guests to dine with him at Mar-a-Lago

05 March 2025

Donald Trump is reportedly inviting guests to meet and dine with him at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, for a fee of millions of dollars.

Business leaders can secure a one-on-one meeting with the president at Mar-a-Lago for the price of $5m, sources told Wired.

At what is called a candlelight dinner held as recently as this past Saturday, prospective guests of the Florida estate were asked to spend $1m to reserve a seat, according to an invitation obtained by Wired.

You are invited to a candlelight dinner featuring special guest President Donald J. Trump,” the invitation reportedly reads. “Additional details provided upon RSVP. RSVPs will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis. Space is very limited. $1,000,000 per person.”

It continues: “Donald J. Trump is appearing at this event only as a featured speaker, and is not asking for funds or donations.”

It's all entirely ethical, of course ...  😟

He will surely be charging his security detail to attend as well.
Club memberships, Golf Club entry fees, and fees for Accommodation.
Elon and Big Balls will not be touching these expenses.

I'm sure that if it's challenged in court, Justice Alito will rule that there's nothing wrong with accepting million-dollar payments like that.

No thanks. Without a speaker, I would have come to enjoy the reasonably priced dinner - would US$100 incl. tip be ok? 😈

What a scmbg!

And now for something completely different ...

The Guardian - Canada goose fights off bald eagle in rare, symbolism-laden battle on ice

05 March 2025

Photographer captures 20-minute clash between birds emblematic of Canada and US amid high trade tensions.

Despite multiple attacks by the eagle, the goose remained unbowed. The raptor, defeated, flew off.

What I bolded, is that tables or brain?

Yes, that may seem like a dumb stupid comment, but if you look at his words and compare that to facts, its reasonable.

We put in 350B Europe needs to step up

In fact its around 160B, EU is around 180B

Canada fentanyl issue. 40 pounds, vs Mexico 40,000 pounds of it

And the list goes on and on and on. Literally

I wonder what he'll do with the bottomless pit of debt that the US Congress has seen fit to saddle the USPS with?  It's only the fact that it's backed by the USG that's seen it be able to continue to operate.

NZ fires envoy to UK who questioned Trump's grasp of history

If you listen to the Zelensky debacle, Trump only cared about two things, pointing out he was not in office in 2014 and that the 2022 invasion was somehow Biden's fault. Everything is about him and today.

Apparently Trump did not know what was special about Pearl Harbour. His superpower is complete ignorance and shamelessness.

Republican lied. He said he would vote against any bill that Trump/Elon put forward that would cut Medicaid.

Medicaid provides health coverage to low-income people and is one of the largest payers for health care in the United States.

Each state is different on Medicaid coverage. For example in Alabama, children 14 to 18 only receive 18% coverage from Medicaid. So a 14 year old parents are responsible, at best, for 82% of the medical bill. At 18, the young adult loses even that coverage.

(Title XXI of the Social Security Act funds the Children's Health Insurance Program "CHIP". In very extreme cases, like paraplegics, Medicaid MAY pay medical expenses)

Michael Ian Black Breaks Up with Mike Lawler

Have I Got News For You US
...
Comedian speaking to cagey Republican Mike Lawler: "you understand that Elon and Trump are claiming waste fraud and abuse where there is none so when the bill comes and there's a dollar to cuts in Medicaid you're a no?"

Republican Mike Lawler: "I will not cut Medicaid benefits. No"

Comedian: "Right. So you're a 'no' if there's even a dollar in cuts to Medicaid."
