The following article could be "Trump helps New Zealand dairy exporters (accidently)."

Trump's appointed RFK Jr as the Secretary of Health and Human Services, which is also in charge of the FDA, Food and Drug Administration.

In the USA, Grade “A” milk is the most common and widely available type of milk in grocery stores. It is suitable for direct consumption as fluid milk (e.g., whole, skim, 2%, etc.).

Often, the label just says “Milk” or includes the type (like "Whole Milk," "2% Milk")—but it's almost always Grade A. Over 99% of all fluid milk sold in grocery stores in the U.S. is Grade A.

In fact, more than 90% of all milk produced in the U.S. is Grade A.

FDA suspends milk quality-control testing program after Trump layoffs: The Guardian

The Food and Drug Administration is suspending a quality-control program for testing fluid milk and other dairy products due to reduced capacity in its food safety and nutrition division, according to an internal email seen by Reuters.

The suspension is another disruption to the nation’s food-safety programs after the termination and departure of 20,000 employees of the Department of Health and Human Services, which includes the FDA, as part of Donald Trump’s effort to shrink the federal workforce.

The FDA this month also suspended existing and developing programs that ensured accurate testing for bird flu in milk and cheese and pathogens like the parasite Cyclospora in other food products.

The agency suspended its proficiency testing program for grade “A” raw milk and finished products

AlterNet - Ineptitude, incompetence, stupidity and chaos: The theme that unites everything.

24 April 2025

In [Trump's] first term, not only did his advisers and Cabinet officials put guardrails around his crazier tendencies, but they also provided his first administration a degree of stability and focus.

Now, it’s mayhem. ...

Bottom line: No one is in charge. Trump is holding court but has the attention span of a fruit fly.

This is causing chaos across the federal government, as rival sycophants compete for his limited attention.

All this ineptitude in just the last few weeks reveals that the Trump regime is coming apart. Incompetence is everywhere.

The regime can’t keep military secrets. It can’t maintain financial stability. It can’t protect children from measles. It cannot protect America.

He has to be impeached.

But, when will the spineless bastards stand up and show they put the USA and the world ahead of a dangerous maniac?

Things might be starting to fall apart for the orange buffoon already: https://archive.ph/MsJZD

Multiple polls this week showed Trump hitting new lows. His approval rating has been double-digits underwater in surveys from the Pew Research Center (minus-19), Economist-YouGov (-13), Reuters-Ipsos (-11) and now Fox News (-11).
Trump was already more unpopular at this point in his presidency than any modern president not named Trump; he’s now flirting with falling below where he was at this point in his first term.

That's not a good sign, especially from an outfit like Fox News.

Eight New Zealanders have been detained at the United States border since November, MFAT has revealed.
One Kiwi woman in her 40s was allegedly detained at San Francisco Airport for 15 hours and forced to buy a return ticket to New Zealand after officials took issue with the visa she’d been issued by the State Department....With officials allegedly left unsatisfied with her visa, she was made to buy an “exceptionally expensive” ticket home and was walked to her gate in chains.

What the hell is that about? Do they not want any tourists entering the US at all for the next 4 years??? 😮 This is one surefire way to screw over your tourism industry.

Cartoons for your Saturday morning:

I still chuckle when I see people personally tagging the orange buffoon to fix something he broke in their lives - like he gives a crap about you! 😄

(Not about Trump personally but involves one of his cabinet)

I don't think bullying China with tariffs is quite going to have the outcome he thinks it will.

Blunt message to Gen Z: You voted for Trump? Is this your villain origin story or what? Bold of you to assume you had more emotional capacity left.

Approximately 42% of Gen Z voters participated in the 2024 election, a decline from the over 50% turnout in 2020.

Donald Trump made substantial gains among Gen Z voters in 2024. Exit polls indicate that around 47% of voters supported Trump.

56% of Gen Z men voted for Trump.

Skepticism has grown of his efforts to expand his authority and of his handling of issues long seen as strengths for him, including the economy and immigration.

Judjing by previous experience with "build the wall", this is how "build the flagpoles" will go
  • Trump visit the site

  • Trump talk about how beautiful it is

  • Trump visits site again and says his next visit will "mark the completion of two one hundred foot poles - a promise made, promise kept".

  • Mexico will pay for it

  • Trump loses interest in flag poles.

  • Steve Bannon, a former White House strategist, pitch "We Build the Flagpoles" as a way for Americans worried about illegal flag raising to do an end run around Congress and construct a flag pole with private money.

  • For Bannon, DOGE's "Big Balls" creates a string of pro-Trump websites using bogus flag pole stories to draw clicks and sell ads.

  • Bannon/"Big balls" claim 100 percent of the money will go toward construction.

  • Trump promised first 100 foot flag pole is actually one pole 17 feet tall, that teeters on collapse (matches Trump promises plus actually built)

  • The "We Build the Flagpoles" pole is a tripping hazard at 6 inches tall. (matches actual results of "Build the Wall")

  • Bannon and co-conspirators treat "We Build the Flagpoles" as personal bank and spend money on home renovations, payments toward a boat, a luxury S.U.V., a golf cart, jewelry, cosmetic surgery, personal tax payments and credit card debt.
Trump says he’s installing two flagpoles at the White House

I took the family over in August , 9 of us.

The kid and 2 of the grand kids got to do Disneyland.

We will never go back.

We also actively avoid US products and services.

Next Trip is probably to Japan.

And Time did an interview with the orange buffoon (read: lie after lie after lie) about how he's done with his first 100 days:

We’d love to come back to immigration but maybe start with the economy. Obviously an issue you campaigned on as well. You promised that you would immediately bring down prices and usher in a golden age of America. The prices of gas and eggs have gone down, but the cost of other things remain—

The prices of groceries have gone down. The only price that hasn't gone down is the price of energy. The cost of energy, I'm sorry, well, energy has gone down, excuse me. Let me change that—is the interest rates. And interest rates have essentially stayed the same.

Inflation remains pretty much the same. And the IMF is saying it’s going to go up.

No, Eric, you can't say what they think, because so far what I thought is right. I've been right about—

401ks are down. The Atlanta Fed says our economy is contracting -2.2% during quarter one.

Well, they may have said that, but so far, they've been, I mean, I've been right. If you look at all of the years that I've been doing this, I've been right on things.

🙄

The NY Times - Trump Is Breaking the Rule That Every Barroom Brawler Knows

April 26, 2025

Provoking your enemies, alienating your friends and actively sabotaging your own defenses is no one’s idea of a sound national security plan. And yet, this is the playbook that President Trump has apparently followed over the first 100 days of his second term.  ...

The president has a former weekend Fox News host at the Department of Defense, and aides have complained that there is “total chaos at the Pentagon.”

He’s got a Trump donor with no military experience as the secretary of the Navy and picked for director of National Intelligence someone with a tendency to repeat authoritarian talking points.

The national security adviser uses a commercial messaging app to share sensitive information about U.S. airstrikes with people he can’t necessarily identify.

Earlier this month the president sacked the military’s well-regarded cyberwar chief after a conspiracy theorist told him to, and his administration leaked word of plans to cut the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency by 40 percent.

Next up appears to be an evisceration of the State Department, particularly the bureau that has challenged some of the worst abuses of hostile authoritarian states.

And of course Mr. Trump has done everything possible to infuriate NATO, America’s primary alliance of mutual military support.
