gulfa:I don't see any comments On the National Party leader an his comments on the radio about the Pm and her baby Surely someone in his party needs to take the guy aside or is this typical off his followers. Commenting on families children. How would he like it if people did the same to him? You cant get much lower. JC must be rubbing her hands together. I see some have had a dig at the naming of the baby on this forum even. What sort of people are we dealing with.
Firstly this thread is called " Jacinda adern - our new PM" so that might help answer your first question.
Secondly, like it or not, entering politics opens your entire private life to the public, so comments about your kids would be expected.
Thirdly, there's two reasons you might be offended at being called a 'pinko' - one is that you're a die-hard Communist and that term is derogatory, or otherwise, you are upset that someone has mistaken your socialist zeal for Communism. I suspect the latter.
And finally, while the interview was largely tounge-in-cheek, what he said was actually on the money. He managed to pour scorn on the gender-fluid concept (which is a load of hogwash), made a good point about universities, which while controversial, is widely accepted to be the truth, and ridiculed labour's torrid social ideology.
So apart from what I've just said, my comment on that is thanks for addressing the elephant in the room Simon. You're a brave man to say what you said, but it needed to be done.
