The wheels are falling off. Our Government is, I don't know, it is unfathomable. I was prepared to give them a fair go to see if a change would really work, but it is not change its confusion, contradiction, incompetence and deception. The wheels have come off our Rugby, the Canes, oh the Canes. Alas alack what has become of thee.

You are more honorable than me Mike...I could see the writing on the wall during the election campaign as all the promises could simply not be met...then along came Winston. Some of the opposition Ministers I have a lot of time for, others I have no respect. They have either shown their true colours previously or while in opposition.

At least you gave them a chance.

I am still hopeful that a super hero will come along and make all things right that was wrong.

The Labour Party contradiction bordering on deception is evident in their change of course with regards to toll roads. During their time in opposition they were opposed to toll roads, they now seem set to impose a toll on SH1 at Transmission Gully. Now I am sure they will assert that this is not a Labour Party contradiction but a Coalition Government contradiction.

I think there are too many dictions in this coalition altogether!

The toll road is just another method of taxation that they can exploit for their own excessive spending agenda.

I'm really confused by one thing.

It has been demonstrated by clever people that producing children is the worst thing you can do for the environment. 58 tonnes of CO2 per child or something per year, plus all the additional waste, food demand etc. Excess population is the sole reason for almost every environmental concern on this planet.

So, we have this Green/Labour thing, where you'd expect doing stuff for the environment to be top of the list.

Yet, with the (horribly named) Baby Bonus and WFF the government is set up to encourage and pay towards producing more CO2...

There has been not a scintilla of a mention of doing anything to reduce the numbers of children etc etc.

It's widely known that children are not my favourite thing, but this is not related to that: I am genuinely intrigued as to how they can square this circle in their own minds with a straight face.

I'm afraid that the writing was on the wall. Their policies weren't based in reality. Many people "hoped" (including them) that they could pull a rabbit out of a hat and fix it, but this isn't a magic show despite all the glitter that was thrown around. I don't think Labour thought they could win and so made promises less thought out than it should have been.

What I am concerned about now, is that despite everything they have under delivered on, some disgraceful behaviour by their MP's, there is still a chunk of NZ who think everythings going fine, and would forgive them anything.

In reality, I think people should be really angry, like I am, that they were criminally clueless or outrightly dishonest in their promises and ongoing claims to have control of the situation.

One thing that really presents itself as a display of failure to lead by Ardern, is her continued support (by failing to take action) of the stupid things Shane Jones says, and continuing to allow Kelvin Davis to speak in public. His first speech as deputy leader was to say disgraceful and personally shameful things about opposition leaders and members.

I don't think she has control.

We need child birth at a rate greater than we have now or we will end up with a population imbalance much worse than we destined for. If we take migration out of the mix our birth rate would be insufficient to maintain our population.

I think the coalition is so delicately stitched together that is cannot take even the slightest strain and Jacinda Ardern is in a position that she has to live with incompetent ministers or be out of government.

Oh and has anyone seen Winston?  no? anyone?
