I agree we will never agree on this, however Colonial and post colonial policies do have relevance to what happened in Manchester and other incidents.

As long as the Treaty of Waitangi and its grievance industry exists, NZ will be an apartheid state that discriminates against all non maori.

Time to replace it with something that gives no special rights to any ethnic group.

I am non-Maori and I don't feel discriminated against at all. I think this kind of comment is not very helpful.

Agree with this, except for the Apartheid part. Special treatment for Maori has gone way too far in NZ.

Oh where do I start?

* I have witnessed on multiple occasions where Maori are let off for catching undersized fish.

* Maori receive help which others are not entitled to. Maybe entitlement is not the right word, but Maori do get priority over Pakhea.

* Undemocratic Maori seats in parliament. Any other ethnicity, seeking similar sovereignty, would be condemned a racist.

* Maori all blacks team. I wonder how it would go down if we had a Pakhea All Black team? Or will a Pakhea only team be racist?

* Scholarships and grants available for Maori only students. Racist? probably not, but what about setting up something similar for Pakhea students?

* Reduced criminal sentences for Maori only. Plenty of examples of this over the years.

No ethnic group in New Zealand should be receiving any special treatment.
